We had never ate at a restaurant for Thanksgiving. Cracker Barrel gave us a great experience!! Checked in before left the house... . Was able to park close . Checked in ,looked around their wonderful festival store . Then our names were called. Waitress waswonderful on checking in on us . Food was great. Definitely a great alternative to cooking !! Just had the worst meal I've ever had at cracker barrel. Ordered chicken and dumplings and it was nothing like I've ever had... before. Okra was so hard I couldn't chew it. I asked for a manager and waited a while but he never came out. I know it was closeto closing time but this was unacceptable. I've never had bad food at Cracker Barrel. Very disappointed. Read more

Me and my husband had breakfast there yesterday. Since the pandemic we had not dined in as much and noticed the food taste... better than of late. Mr. Chase, the manager, was exceptional and made sure our experience was above our expectations. He sharedthat what we had experienced was an intentional focus of his for the restaurant. Seated in just a few minutes. Drink orders shortly after. About 15 min after seated waitress took our meal orders. Then a bit... over another 30 minutes later till the meals came out of the kitchen. Food was fine, I?d say a bit better than typical. Wasdisappointed at how long it took to be served. Have eaten at Cracker Barrel many times while traveling and they are normallyfairly quick. We went in Sunday 21 of August. Morning. They were VERY busy. Our waitress was very good at her job considering how busy... they were. I love the gift store. My only disappointment was the breakfast. Got here at 8:40 pm local time. Ordered the Uncle Herchel's breakfast with hamburger steak. The steak was hard and couldn't cut... through. Stabbed it with a fork took a bite and it has the taste and cosistency of cardboard. Actual cardboard. I understandthey were closing up but what happened to the hamburger steak? First, I hate giving bad reviews. This one I felt is justified. Well, Cracker Barrel is my girlfriend's favorite restaurant... chain bar none. We have visited quite a few. This was the exception to the quality of Cracker Barrel. The two entrees that weordered were underwhelming. The meatloaf was cold on the inside, and the vegetables weren't freshly prepared. The fried chickenhad been prepared like the fried okra at least an hour or so before being served. (I worked in the food industry for almost 2decades, so I know what I'm talking about). While they were fairly busy- we waited 10 minutes to be seated. They weren't packedfor a Sunday afternoon. Service was the high point of the meal. She wasn't personable nor friendly, but she did the minimum forthe tip. (I tip according to the experience, sometimes up to 50%). This was more like a trip back to the high school cafeteriaeating the last lunch. Given there are multiple Cracker Barrel restaurants in the city, we'll drive further rather thanreturning. Read more

The maple grilled chicken was AMAZING! The bacon was soooooooo flavorful and the sauce they used brought it all together. And of... course, always great service at any Cracker Barrel. The store is always a fun stop and now they have Halloween stuff, so get itwhile you can. Read more
