Interesting experience that was mostly enjoyable. This restaurant has a fun vibe and has quite a bit of very charming seating... and decor. The kids really enjoyed the playing corn hole and drawing with chalk all over the chalk walls. As for the food?wetried several different things. The nachos with brisket were quite good. I?d get those again. The loaded potato was decenttoo, but nothing incredibly special. We enjoyed the sandwich with brisket more than we have enjoyed brisket sandwiches at manyother places because we got to load it with nacho cheese, jalapeños and cole slaw. We also could have added beans, but didn?t.The sandwich came with a bag of chips. We also ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was so tenderthat it was almost hard to eat?we also could hardly see a smoke ring on it. The brisket also didn?t seem very flavorful andneeded quite a bit of salt. The pulled pork was mediocre. The meat plate came with 3 sides?we tried the baked beans, cole-slawand Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, the beans were pretty decent, and the slaw was not my favorite flavor,but it was fine. The sauces were pretty decent. I liked the spicy one best, and hubby liked the Smokey sauce best. I could tellthe original sauce was a good sauce too, but I don?t love sweeter sauces, so it wasn?t my fav. We would have liked to try thepeach cobbler after we ate our food, but there were a couple of people in line?and the service was incredibly slow for somereason. There were only 2 workers there and it took my husband probably 10 minutes from when he started getting served to whenhe checked out. They need to figure out something to speed up service, especially for the amount of seating they have. Morepeople or a more efficient process?? Anyway, we didn?t try the cobbler because we would have had to wait at least 20 minutes inline just to get up to the workers. They also have Wi-Fi, if that?s something you care about. Read more
Been craving BBQ and saw this place a week ago but when we came back it was closed. Today (Tuesday) wasn't busy at all. My... husband and I shared the 3 meat meal. I liked it all. Let's just say my wife is from Texas and she said this is the best bbq she's had since moving here 7 years ago. The food is... amazing. The brisket was mouth watering. And the service couldn't be beat. I was suggested the sandwich which was incredible andmy wife got the baked potato. Read more
I'm not really one to review but I.D.K. BBQ has outdone themselves. The meat was fabulous, the service was very personable and... the site was very clean. It is a wonderfully unique atmosphere and I enjoyed my time here. I will definitely return many moretimes! Read more
