Me and my husband used to go here often, but it seems like over the past year the quality gets worse and worse. I?m not one to... leave bad reviews because I am pretty understanding, even when waiting two hours for our food before. But today was the laststraw, when they forgot part of our order and said they couldn?t refund it. I feel like that is crazy for a business to notcorrect their mistake like that. Read more
My feeling is that this restaurant is serves some of the best Indian Food north of Salt Lake. Really good customer service and... delicious,authentic South Indian food. For people new to Indian food, I would suggest the Chicken tikka masala. My favorites arethe biriyanis and fish curry. EDIT: 9/23/2022 I came across a review of this restaurant from a week ago that blew my mind andalthough this is not a forum for refuting reviews, I did not take to it and wanted to really clarify. I have been a customer ofthis restaurant for over 15 years so I know all the positives and negatives. The reviewer stated "This is a frozen Indian foodhas nothing to do with the taste or look, lots of sauce with perfect cube cut chicken thought was something else and probablyis it?s a shame they make this kind of Indian food even the bread I guarantee you it?s frozen. Never again waist of money" Thisrestaurant does not deal with frozen food. The kitchen staff have been with the restaurant for many years and they guy that cutsthe chicken has done it so many times that he has become a pro at it. That is why the pieces are even for the most part. I meanto use that to assume that it is frozen???? Also the reviewer does not explain anything about the taste of the food butconsiders dining here a waste of money because of a conjecture that the food is frozen? Anyway I was permitted to step into thekitchen by the owners and chef to take some pictures of some food preparation. I just want to be clear, there is no frozen foodhere. Call me biased for being a long time customer here but that is what I am..........a very satisfied customer and I alwayskeep coming back. I am from Colorado and visiting Utah. One of my favorite foods is anything Indian, so I was pleasantly surprised to find an... AMAZING Indian restaurant. The food is delish and the service best! Thank you for making my first trip to Utah a great one. Read more
Walking in, me and family did not have high hopes for this restaurant. The restaurant looks plain, however it is the type where... you would say don't judge a book by its cover. It was the thin, fresh naan that blew us away. Unlike most other Indianrestaurants the food had a homely feel (not just spices and cream). I feel that anyone in the area should definitely stop bythis growing Indian restaurant. Service was very good as well. Read more
BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!!!!! This food is amazing beyond words! I ate here for the first time today(takeout), and it did not... disappoint! I had the lamb biryani (spicy) and jalapeño cheddar naan and o my word!! I love Indian food so much, and this washands down the best Indian food I?ve ever had! Not to mention the portions ???????? I was visiting Ogden and had a strong desire to get some Indian food. I?ve eaten at Sitara before, but it?s been probably 10... years. The food did not disappoint. It was fantastic! Very delicious and good quantities. We got Chicken Tikka Masala and ButterChicken with garlic naan, and garlic cheese naan. I liked the Tikka Masala more than the butter, but my wife was opposite! Ialso wanted it spicier, but she said the medium was already too spicy for her. The thing I didn?t like, and the reason for 3stars? I placed my order online at 4:45 PM, selecting 5:30 as my pick up time (the first available was 5:20 but I knew Icouldn?t make it there by then). I arrived at 5:35, the worker that helped me took my name, went to the kitchen, was gone for abit, came back and asked my name again, and went and washed tables. At 5:45 he came back to me and said they were finishing mynaan. I finally received my food at 5:58. I was offered a beverage because of how long it was taking. I declined because I?ddidn?t feel like that made up for wasting 25 minutes of my time. Because I ordered online, I also had to select a tip amount atpayment time while ordering. Had I known that it was going to take 28 minutes longer than what I requested, I wouldn?t havetipped 15%. I?d probably try another Indian restaurant before I returned. Read more
Great place for Indian food. I got paneer tikki masala and it actually had a good amount of paneer cheese in it compared to... other Indian restaurants around. Their spicy scale is pretty balanced. Interesting naan bread flavor Read more
Food was good, servings size a little small. When we arrived it took us, my son and I a little while to decide if we were going... to stay. We ordered our food, it took a while for it to be prepared.. My son who lives in the area, acts like he'll comeback. He'd never eaten Indian food before, he ordered the butter chicken mild. I ordered the chicken curry medium spice. Itcertainly wasn't overly spicy. They have some pictures and atmosphere items on the walls. Read more
