Fun, urban, large restaurant with a great vibe and food! I love this new location with adequate parking, outdoor seating and the... food and service are better than ever. 4.5 or higher! The wings are some of the best I?ve had since I lived in Buffalo, NewYork! Slightly different style but so meaty and flavorful. We got the Buffalo style and the special which was Thai style. Thistime they had a pumpkin flavor so we got the Buffalo. Love the fresh Gorgonzola cheese crumbles on the wings and celery stickswith a generous portion of bleu cheese dressing. Arrived still warm. They marinate them overnight. Yum! I got the Californiapizza which is good sized for 2-3 people. I was worried about the peppered bacon being too strong but it wasn?t at all. It?slike salad on a pizza and easier to eat. Love the thinner crust and how it has just a hint of sweet. It has fresh avocado sliceson it! My husband always gets the meatball sandwich and potato chips. Comes with some extra marinara on the side. I?m alwaystoo full to try his. They make desserts in house and we got the cheesecake to share. I especially loved the Graham crackercrust, the whipped cream and the strawberry sauce. I need another cup of the sauce. Slackwater was recommended by our hotel staff for dinner but the line was longer than we were willing to wait after having... traveled all day. So, we tried again for brunch/lunch the next day and it was excellent. I had the eggs Benedict and they wereperfect. Others in my group had pizza and nachos. All were good. The service was a little slow but they were slammed so it wasclear our server was doing the best she could with how busy it was. One extra bonus was that there was a good live musicianplaying, too. The pizza was incredible, sauce was great, crust was airy and had a lot of flavor. The peach special wings were decent, but the... wings themselves were tiny and not a whole lot of meat on the bone. Wasn't sure how many stars to rate Slackwater as husband seemed okay with his pizza. When I saw that "my match" for this place... was 67%...well, that cinched the 3 stars. The alcoholic beverage menu is a book so if you like a huge selection of that, thenthis may be your place. Is that the popularity? However: See our pizza photo? Doesn't look like other photos posted---not evenlike one photo of the exact same pizza we ordered. Very thin crust. Amount of meat skimpy. And the cheese? Nonexistent. Theseare personal pan pizza sized too as husband could eat the whole thing by himself. Lady's meatball sandwich, at another table,looked huge and she seemed to be enjoying it. This was our first visit to the new Slackwater location on 24th St. This place is so awesome! What a massive improvement! (and... things were great over by the river). ???? Very good pizza! I love the different choices of pizza available here. Great atmosphere. Had a nice Sunday family dinner. ... Our service was excellent.
