Mr. Salsa's was recommended by staff at Grand Bear Lodge since they didn't have enough staff to work their restaurant. We were... glad they did. The service was great and welcoming as soon as we stepped in. The food also was great along with the Margaritasyou wash it down with. Our waitress was spectacular. Filling food. Kids enchilada, steak ranchero, steak enchiladas and two American tacos with two soda, a pineapple juice and a... margarita for about $63 (doesn't include a tip). Fantastic. I was driving a car back to Minneapolis from Knoxville, TN and saw the highway sign for Mr. Salsa's. Fish tacos were... some of the best I've ever had. Everyone was super nice, especially Mr. Salsa! ;) Cute place (and cute downtown, too). There isalmost zero chance I will ever be back in Oglesby, IL, but if I am, I'll be enjoying a full sit-down meal here. Read more
Mr. Salsas is a great little place to get an excellent meal. Don't let the unassuming entrance color your opinion. The food is... amazing, Tony is a very attentive and helpful server, and the atmosphere is fun! This place is well worth driving deeper intoOglesby to find. LOVED the pork tostada! Everytime we are in the area, we always make it a point to stop at Mr. Salsas. The salsa and chips are fresh and phenomenal.... They serve a mean margarita and the folks running the place make us feel so welcome! You have to check out this hometownhangout. Read more
This place was phenomenal! The food was to die for and the price was extremely reasonable! I don?t agree with the few negative... comments about it being pricey because we thought it was a great deal! The fried mushrooms were super huge and delicious! Allthe ingredients were fresh on the different tacos and enchiladas! We had such a great time and the service was outstanding! Thepeople they were friendly, great service, and it was clean!
