I've eaten at Oarweed three times over the last year and each has been somewhere between fantastic and okay, with varying levels... of service and quality of food. Sometimes you have to wait upward of an hour for a table, sometimes you can be seatedimmediately. The whole experience is a little hit or miss. Biggest draw here is the view; you're sitting right on the water inPerkins Cove with an absolutely stellar backdrop to enjoy while you eat. Time your meal here over sunset and you're in for atreat. Food here can be hit or miss. Things I've eaten include: - Seafood chowder (4/5) - Shrimp cocktail (3.5/5) - Crab dip(6/5, but they took it off the menu. According to our server, the owner was too cheap to keep buying the crab. BRING BACK THECRAB DIP!!) - Artichoke and spinach dip, which replaced the crab dip (3/5) - Seafood trio (4/5) - Crab cakes (3.5/5) - Blueberrybeer (5/5) Definitely try your luck here, if for nothing else than the picturesque setting! This is the type of restaurants that are slowly disappearing. Authentic, real, unapologetically focused on the quality of their... food rather than the stars and reviews. We had a great time and the best meal of our trip. Thank you Oarweed. Highly recommendlobster roll ???? ?? Read more

Great spot right at the end of the marginal cliff walk. We waited a bit to be seated because the place was so busy, but our seat... was in a cozy corner with an amazing view of the water. The clam chowder was so creamy and delicious, the lobster roll was salad(it came with a bag of chip), and the blueberry pie was absolutely incredible. Their famous lemony dressing also totally livedup to the hype! It’s certainly not cheap, but I think it was worth it. We walked here but there is a parking lot next door (itcosts $20 to park tho) Read more

One of our favorite places in Ogunquit. Seafood chowder is a must have, and they consistently have better lobsters than anywhere... else. Read more

What a great place. Not only is the food delicious but the host (owner?) was so personable and helpful. Attitude is truly... everything. Back to food… I had a bowl of the seafood chowder. Perfect! I recommend it over the clam chowder which I foundsignificantly under seasoned. The lobster roll is everything you want it to be. BIG chunks of lobster with just the right amountof mayo and seasoning. The haddock sandwich was equally delicious. Can’t wait to return. Read more

Great seafood, great prices, great service, and a beautiful view. The blueberry lemon drop martini and the raspberry Cosmo were... both lucious and huge. The whole lobster and "Lazy Lobster" were perfect although, I usually order their crab cakes because theymake the very best. The strawberry shortcake had fresh warm biscuits in it and was big enough to share. Read more

We had steamed mussels for appetizers, variety of chowders, salmon, 1 1/4 lb lobsters. Finalized with Blueberry pie and vanilla... ice cream. All entrees were very delicious. Milosh our server did a magnificent job waiting on our table. We were going toanother popular restaurant, but was closed at 4 pm on Sunday. We all felt we ended up with a better restaurant! We had heard a lot about the Oarweed so we tried it the first night in Perkins Cove. We both had lobster rolls a d my husband... had seafood chowder also. The food was wonderful! The lobster rolls were cold with a touch of mayo - just how we like theminstead of dripping with butter. Very fresh and flavorful. Views were wonderful as well. We did feel the price was a bit highcompared to other places. Read more
