Food was pretty good, prices were about average. The famous strawberry shortcake is a little over $10, but was bigger than... expected and was indeed quite good. Our server was attentive and nice. The garlic bread good. The bathrooms were clean. The Ojailocation was pretty, quite, and decorated pretty darn cute. 4/5 only because some pasta dishes were a little pricier thanaverage, without quality or portion-size to match. Additionally, parking can be confusing/stressful at first. There is aside-lot available as the front spots are consistently filled. Note that the Oak View and Ojai locations do have differenthours. The Oak View location is also not a super cute place to sit down and enjoy your meal or hang out?I?d probably only orderto-go from this one. Read more
I give Boccali's 5 star for many reasons. Is on the middle of no where in Ojai. Service was really good, decent prices, draf... beer really good, the only complain we have" Straberry Shortcake not so good" i would not recomemded!! But everything else isok. Pasta needs a little more seasoning. Read more
I always love the environment at Boccali's. They have patio and outside seating. They have large umbrellas to protect you from... the sun in case you'd like to enjoy your meal outside with the breeze on your skin. I usually get the Ravioli with pesto sauce,which is tasty. This time I switched it up and had the spinach lasagna with meat sauce and was not disappointed. The smallside salad was compact with fresh, crisp veggies. Their bruschetta is always flawless and full of flavor. Lastly, thestrawberry shortcake was a perfect and delicious way of ending our meal. The staff is kind. This place is on & popping. We loved it! I came here with a friend. Food was delicious, you can tell it?s homemade. We ordered... pasta, pizza, garlic bread, & dessert. Everything was super tasty. Service was fast & friendly. They truly cared about ourdining experience. If I lived closer to Ojai, I?d order from here all the time. Read more
Boccali's has great food and great views, my wife and I both enjoy it. Plenty of parking, there's seating inside and tons... outside, and lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around in. Love their eggplant dishes, salads are super fresh, justsimple and honest Italian food. Read more
I?ve been to Ojai twice and I always make sure I make a stop at Boccali?s! I love their lasagna! I came here with a group of... friends and we all tried different items off the menu. Everyone enjoyed their food. Shared a battle of wine as well. Entrees aredecently priced but you get so much value for your money ! Pretty big portions. Would highly recommend this place for dinner. Parking can be confusing, particularly in the dark but once settled outside with plentiful heaters, it's a wonderful, old... fashioned Italian restaurant. Garlic bread side order was terrific as nice crisp to the crust but interior soft and wellseasoned. The side green salad was fine and the pasta superb. Spinach lasagna again well seasoned (touch of nutmeg?) and nicelycrisp top. The spaghetti with meat balls also nicely done. Topped off with an excellent glass of red wine made for a dinner wecouldn't finish. High marks for this little gem. Not fancy, but oh so yummy. P.s the pizzas looked great too. Read more
Dining under the stars here is an amazing experience. Place is away from usual street lights. Service is excellent and food is... right behind it. The pic with the empty basket is the one that had garlic bread. ????Got empty before I could grab apicture. We tried their Eggplant Parmesan and a close cousin of Margherita pizza (Regular Mozzarella instead of BuffaloMozzarella). Both were excellent. We tried their Red blend. Tasted it and decided to go for the bottle.???? Read more
