Very disappointed! It was our 40th anniversary and they were told about this special occasion. The service was simply terrible... ???? wait staff was talking/flirting with chef as we were trying to get refills of drinks. They brought all food with ourappetizers, I just hate that! No acknowledgment of our special occasion? To make matters worse, the sushi was so skimpy andtasteless. They used to have delicious food but now it is an expensive waste!! So sad ???? Read more

Mediocre sushi and hands down the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. I understand young people need jobs and that... typically lands in the service industry. Train your people and have a standard of service. My date ordered 3 things, one ofwhich never showed up. When brought to the attention of the server we never received an answer as to where it was. My wife and I enjoyed this place. I ordered the Tataki and Aloha rolls. I really enjoyed the Tataki roll with the shallots. I... also got some salmon and tuna nigiri which wee great. My wife is vegan and got the inari nigir and vegetable gozen dish whichshe really liked. Food was excellent. I took a star out for the service. They seemed slightly understaffed and the servers andbussers weren't properly communicating. Other than that it was a great visit. We went there 2 times. Read more
Arrived at 7:10 and were asked by 4 different people if we had been helped. No one seemed to be talking to each other. No... apparent manager. Got seated and some appetizers were delivered. Then it all went dead. After reminding our waitress that foodand drink was missing and that we hadn?t ordered dinner yet, we waited. With the order finally taken we waited again. They cameto tell us the restaurant was closing only to discover in horror that we had not been served. We were finally served at 8:40after asking our waitress AGAIN to check on our order. The order had never made it to the sushi chef. All the other tables hadfinished and left. The staff were arguing out whose fault it was. The server arrived with duplicates of the appetizers we hadalready had - UNBELIEVABLE. FYI the restaurant closes at 8:30. This place needs a manager. Read more
What is this, sushi for ANTS? The size of each roll, including the specialty rolls was TINY. Too small to even taste the flavor.... In addition, we were charged for ?additional? eel sauce when neither of the rolls which traditionally have eel sauce (salmonskin, and eel avocado rolls) did not have any eel sauce on them. And don?t reply with a response about the increasing price offish, you are a sushi restaurant, and there are plenty of other restaurants that provide adequate sized rolls. Read more

Safe and responsible chefs with the right kind of attitude you want re: handling raw fish. service staff has... always been friendly. some of the reviewers here that rag on them are lacking perspective and compassion. this place, like somany in Ojai, is empty then gets slammed. staff does the best they can. instead of thinking of ways you can ask a server to bendover backwards for you and criticise where they fail, how about knowing what you want, ordering it, enjoying it and going onyour merry way? want that special attention? you'll get it. come by when they first open up. don't create conflict and wait forpeak times. small town. slammed staff. be considerate. They're nice people that deserve kindness. I'm happy to have them. Read more
