GOOD taste & vibe BAD service I don't know whether it's Nocciola style or not, but they put knife n fork roughly. Even he put my... pasta down with the sound of plate. Quick Summary Cool ambiance with the patio seating, especially in the back when you have the backdrop of the Ojai sunset. Food... was decent (the highlights were the olive oil and the lamb carpaccio). Plenty of street parking available Food- 4 stars Foodwas decent but isn't worth going out of your way for Bread with olive oil- the olive oil was very solid and hearty. Reallyenjoyed it Lamb carpaccio- this was pretty good as well. The only downside is that it wasn't evenly salted (some portions weremuch more salted than others) Lamb shank- this was good, but the sauce was slightly too sweet. Pork chop- a bit disappointedby the pork chop. Overcooked and way too lean. Not the most enjoyable experience Service- 4 stars Pretty standard, although wedid wait a pretty long time between our appetizers and entrees Parking- plenty of street parking Bottom Line Cool ambiance ifyou're around the Ojai area. Really wished I tried the pasta or ravioli dishes, because was disappointed by the entrees. Read more

Loved this place for its ambiance, good food, and attentive staff. They built a covered patio during COVID for outdoor dining.... The patio is divided into 4 sections, separated by wood railings and, thus, so are most of the tables. There were plenty oftempting offerings in its menu, but we ordered the specials, lobster ravioli with a delicate curry sauce and snapper on a bedof spinach and mushrooms. this is a fabulous restaurant! Great service, beautiful setting and truly good food—absolutely no complaints. Cauliflower... lobster bisque was outstanding, Rigatoni with sausage ragu also outstanding—the steak was unreal! cooked perfectly medium rare+ charred exactly as ordered—truly tasted amazing. served with a must try mustard sauce. Our experience was the best! Went for our 10 yr anniversary and was treated so well by Gonzo and the rest of the wait staff.... Never had to worry about asking for a fresh Martini as they were on it. View from the deck was wonderful. Scallops are somethingelse, so flavorful and pairs well with the parm fondue! The Squid spaghetti and Oxtail ravioli were some of the best pasta thisside of the Atlantic. Highly recommend this place! Read more

So they got this thing called the Chef's tasting course. Be prepared as these aren't tapas style dishes. No complaint on my end... though. What I can say is that every..single..bite.. was outstanding. From the thinly sliced lamb to the Amaretto infused icecream, the $65 was well worth it.
