We talked to some locals and they recommended this spot and OMG? so good! We walked in around 6pm and were able to get two seats... at the bar. Everything that was coming out looked so good. We ended up getting the insalata zarina, Pizza del bob, and Ezzelina.My favorite was the Pizza del bob but my friend lovedddd the Ezzelina. The insalata zarina had all fresh ingredients from thefarmers market that day and the Ezzelina had homemade noodles! Definitely stop in :) can?t wait to eat our leftovers! Read more
Amazing place, great hospitality and the waitress are so warm. A big shout out to ?ROSEY?, she was so warm and hospitable and... made sure we are properly taken care of for all our meals. This was our one of the few Italian restaurant experience and shemade sure we had a great time.We liked everything from drinks to food. If your in ojai please visit this place!! Read more
I can't say enough about this place. We went for a romantic meal, mainly attracted by the ambiance and it turned out to be one... of the best meals I've had in a while. If you're in Ojai, this place is not to be missed. The menu is extensive and very wellcurated. The food is fresh, flavourful and delicious. The prices are a bit high, but generous portions of the high quality foodmore than justify the prices. I would highly recommend the 'Fettucine di Limone alla Marittima' - lemon/herb pasta inbrandy-tomato-cream sauce with fresh wild local catch and baja california clams - I was totally blown away; it is easily of thebest seafood dishes I have ever had. The outdoor seating is perfect for the pleasant Ojai evenings, and makes the diningexperience delightful. DOG friendly patio in back accessible through the walkways. Seriously some of the best pasta I have ever had. And yes, Im... including Italy! Make sure you order the homemade pasta, although I'm sure the dry noodles are good as well. Many other optionson the menu. See pics of menu from May 2018. Absolutely not italian. Horrible foods, and definitely not Italian. Tourist restaurant.. eggplant not cooked sll the way and not... even breaded so it had zero flavor however, the fake smoke flavored cheap cheese is all you could taste. The portion was sotiny i thought she brought me an appetizer not a dinner entree for $26. I ordered side spaghetti to come with it, over cookedand no flavor at all. I opted for spaghetti which was not a choice of sides but i could not fathom their sides which were crispypotatoes & vegetable medfly? What italian restaurant in the world serves crispy potatoes & mix veggies with an italiandinner????? I should of walked out right then at this discovery!!! Really ate less than half of my $50 pp dinner, and I waswith guests or i would of just paid & walked out !!! Bruschetta had no flavor and the bread became soggy! The tomatoes hadnothing in them no garlic or basil. We poured a ton of salt on and asked for a side of olive oil to give it any flavor. Oliveoil very cheap, it had no flavor.. My friends ordered a scallop dish with pasta and they dumped a whole jar of saffron on in thesauce and it was so bitter and strong that was all you could taste! We had to send it back as it was not edible at all. Myother guest ordered cioppino seafood soup and they ate it and said it was good. Service was very slow, but our server was verysweet.
