This was an ideal spot for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Our food and the staff were all 5-stars, however all of... their seating is outside (which is lovely and ideal) and there are no fans. It’s quite hot in the summer, and during our lastof 3 courses, the flies were absolutely swarming us and our food, and I was drenched in sweat. Installing fans would have made ahuge difference. In terms of food, everything was delicious. The cocktails were fabulous, the salads were satisfying, and theentrees were cooked perfectly. The wait staff was kind and knowledgeable. Absolutely amazing time! Came and was seated with our incredible waitress Tara and honestly think she made the experience above... and beyond. This was mine and my husbands first time here and she guided us to the best dishes and wine selection plus greatrapport and conversation. Would absolutely recommend. The restaurant is like a little oasis that gives spa/Japanese zen vibes.It just works alongside the multi course meals. Thank you so much!!! Read more
What an amazing place! We found this place and we're able to make reservations the same day. The staff were so pleasant and... friendly. Pre- fixe, five course dinner. The Ginger Carrot soup was as smooth as velvet with perfectly blended flavors, the lamb shank... meat fell off the bone. It was moist and had really deep,rich flavors. Servers were great. Attentive to heat lamp adjustments and so on. Food was old school and good. Prix fixe menu really reasonable... around $85 for 3 courses and about $100 for 5. Enjoyed a cocktail that was perfect. The ambiance is wonderful. There is seatingindoors and outside. We chose outside. Great vibe. Landscaping with water feature is pleasing. There were families and largergroups, though this is a great place for an intimate dinner for two. So glad we were finally able to try it out. Read more
Beautiful location. So picturesque. Not a single table that isn't in a beautiful spot. There is a lovely koi pond and you can... walk around the restaurant and look at the gardens. The dinner service is $60 for 3 choices from appetizer, soup/salad, entreeand dessert. We had the brussel sprouts and blue cheese salad. The octopus was amazing. The pork belly and filet was deliciousas well. We didn't try the desserts. Read more
It was our date night in Ojai again and we decided to try The Ranch House for dinner. Surprisingly, We were able to get... reservations the same day. The atmosphere is amazing! It was really a special place. The food was very good and the set menuand price was fair. My only issue, which isn't that big was the price on the "mocktails". Otherwise is was a wonderfulexperience.
