Beautiful day on the lake and our server was quick and attentive. Sadly, much of my food was not so great. On the House Garden... salad, the marinated salads were very strong and salty (cucumbers tasted like strong sweet pickles). The corn wasn't overlysalty but there was literally about a 1/2 teaspoon of it on the plate. Would have loved a true garden salad with fresh,non-marinated carrots, cucumbers and cabbage. The lobster I had been looking forward to was very tough to cut through and hadtons of gristle - it ran up and down both sides of the tail and was found in the middle of the tail, too. I have never seen thistype of thing in a lobster tail. Had to keep cutting all of that off and piling it up in a little gristle pile. Was happy tosee the green vegetables that came with the lobster (they weren't mentioned on the menu), but they were extremely salty. No needfor salt at all, especially with a salt shaker on the table if someone so desired. Fresh broccoli, asparagus, green beens andzucchini, all ruined by the excessive salt. Lastly, I expected the Black Forest torte to look and taste more like traditionalBlack Forest cake, but it was a disappointment. Read more

Yesterday 6/18/22 my family and I enjoyed a wonderful time at the Golden Mast. The food was superb, our waitress Joanna provided... excellent service. She spent time explaining the special of the evening and other questions we had about the different dishes.She made sure our drinks and food arrived promptly. My compliments to the chef and staff for our excellent food. It was so verygood. The ambiance was so comfortable and the view of the lake from our table was so beautiful. My husband Jake and I got married here at Golden Mast on July 17, 2021. We have nothing but great things to say about having our... wedding here!! Monica the event coordinator was great. She was super easy to work with and was very prompt at responding throughour email conversations. She helped to keep things organized and running smoothly through the planning process leading up to thebig day. Our day couldn’t have been better! Monica wasn’t there the day of but another event coordinator named George was.He rocked it from beginning to end! We had so many compliments on how quick he was behind the bar along with the otherbartenders working for our day! Food came out fast and everyone raved about how delicious everything was! Still gettingcompliments to this day!! We just want to thank Golden Mast for a beautiful day that we will remember forever!! We can’t waitto celebrate our anniversaries to come with an amazing dinner at the place we began our forever at! I have been coming to the Mast my entire life. Grew up on this lake and it truly has a special place to my family. I chose to... have my wedding here (8/14/21), my parents had their wedding reception here 40 years ago, and both my older brothers held theirreceptions here as well. It’s such a beautiful venue and it was without a doubt that I would have my own wedding here. My onlycompliant is working with their event coordinator, she didn’t seem like she was documenting any of our email exchanges. I senta follow up email 2 months before our wedding and she was out of town. I was contacted by another person to inform me theydidn’t have any of our meal selections documented, when I had confirmation email a month before from what we decided. Thisworried me, so I scheduled a final meeting a week before our wedding just to verify all details were documented clearly and noquestions. Our day went without a doubt perfect, the staff was great, our ceremony space was perfect. We We couldn’t haveasked for anything more. We are still getting compliments from our guests how great the food was (every meal, fromvegan-steak!), and how quickly everyone got their food! I will continue to recommend the Golden Mast, even with our hiccup ofdealing with their event coordinator. Read more

The Golden Mast is a prize gem. It's semi/business casual, and the food simply can't be beat. I recommend getting a seat facing... the lake if you can. It's a beautiful view. The price is a little high for those on a tight budget, but well worth it. They doserve large portions, and you won't leave feeling half empty. The quality is great, and the service is fantastic. If I couldrate The Golden Mast with more stars, they would clearly have my vote! Whether you are just visiting town, or reside here, it'sa restaurant you must try! Read more

My steak burger was cooked well. Our orders portions as a whole were a great size for the money. The view overlooking the lake... added to the experience along with the beautiful weather. The day we arrived the place was very busy so service was slower thandesired. Do try your best to get a seat outdoors as it was the star of the show during the spring or summer months. Read more
