Cheever’s was recommended to us and we’re so glad! What a fantastic meal we enjoyed! They have a diverse menu with something... for everyone. I had their renowned Chicken Fried Steak with the jalapeño gravy and it lived up to the hype! The chocolate cakewas delicious and huge! Three people could easily share it! The wine, cocktail and beer menus offer a great variety of drinkoptions for the perfect pairing with your meal. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable…. perfect for date night, or meeting agroup of good friends. We’ll be back! Read more

Cheever’s is such a cute and dainty cafe in OKC. I went for the first time with some of my sorority sisters this past weekend... and we had such a good time. They have a solid brunch menus and EXCELLENT mimosas (I got a pineapple & orange juice blend witha double dose of champagne — it was delightful). For brunch we had complimentary rolls, which I believe have poppy seeds inthem (they were so soft ????). Additionally, I order the chicken and waffles (I substituted my chicken breast for chickentenders). I was crazy about the chicken, it was overly breaded. I wish I had the option of actually chicken wings. The waffleswere great, but I didn’t enjoy the syrup. Then, I added a side of eggs which were great. My sister ordered the chicken friedsteak and she ended up sending it back. I loved the atmosphere, our waiter, and drinks. The food just wasn’toverwhelming. It’s was still a great experience though. Such a nice place to come with friends and family or a romantic night. Get reservations. I go a bit early due to parking... being tight but it is worth it. Got the chicken fried steak with Jalapeno gravy (a must try here). Also got the halibut withspicy shrimp risotto (soooo creamy and satisfying). Can't wait to devour the left over chicken fried steak and potatoes - it isalot of food. Read more

My daughters made reservations here for us for Mother's Day and I couldn't be happier! The inside seating is small but cozy,... outside seating is also available. The food was fantastic! I didn't get a picture of the cinnamon roll we shared so I'll justsay if you have the opportunity, get one. I had shrimp and grits and they were the best grits I've had outside of SouthCarolina. I can't wait to go back for more! Read more

This place was fantastic! Our waiter “Drew" gave us excellent service, was friendly and really made it a great experience. The... fried chicken sandwich (which we split) was literally the best fried chicken that I have ever had and I grew up in the South. Itwas so moist on the inside and cooked to perfection, the batter was not thick and flowery (very light) and yet super crunchywithout a spot of grease anywhere. The Carrot Cake was to die for (hands down the best carrot cake that I have eaten). We willbe back to try the Chicken Fried Steak and other things on the menu. This place is a must if you are a foodie. Read more

We've wanted to come to Cheever's for awhile and they did not disappoint. The first impression of the restaurant is one of class... and tradition, and the hedge outside the front provides a great sense of intimacy for the whole building. Karessa our server wasfantastic. I asked her to plan out our meal and she chose the strudel as an app (creamy, crispy, and hearty it was superb) andthe halibut for the main course. In addition to the meal their "Capulet" cocktail with cucumber infused gin is amazing haha. Weloved our experience! Thanks Karessa! Read more

A respectable institution for regional cuisine. They also incorporate agreeable twists with each classic dish, which I... thoroughly enjoyed. The chicken tortilla soup was textbook perfection. The richness and complexity in flavor are delectable. Thewhole soup felt more like a stew, with a lot of chicken and tomato chunks in a fairly viscous consistency. The chicken friedsteak was good. It was very well breaded, providing maximal surface area for crunch, while the steak was chewy for contrast. Thejalapeño gravy was a great twist, but I would’ve liked the flavor to be even stronger personally. The leek at the topaugmented each bite too. Potatoes were nice and crispy. The carrot cake was decadent. It had an ungodly amount of cream cheesein it. It was interspersed with the cake at every layer, such that the taste of cake via the carrot and cinnamon wasn’t thatnoticeable. It was also drizzled with caramel and condensed milk to top it off. It could’ve easily been a dessert for three. Read more
