I really wanted to love this place. First Watch is one of my favorite breakfast places. I was happily surprised to see this was... ‘from’ the same people with an almost identical menu (just different item names). I’ve been here three times the first wasvisit was good but the most recent two were not great. My hubby and I loved our meals- I had the avocado omelette and he had the Italian omelette. We both like how they were served... with fresh greens! ???? The fresh squeezed green juice was fabulous, too! Our server was pleasant, fast and helpful. The onlydownside was the coffee was pretty bitter tasting and had a bit of a burned flavor. First Bite is in our starting rotation of breakfast places. (We have a list of breakfast places w/ notes) Each time we eat here... the food is always delicious & perfectly cooked. The wait staff is very attentive & we like Desiree as our server. Desiree doesnot miss a beat no matter how many tables she has. Very efficient & pleasant to visit with. I walked in just after peak and ordered avocado toast with salmon and a cinnamon chipped pancake along with a cup of coffee and... a glass of water. The avocado toast was delicious, the toppings consisted of crushed avocado lightly salted, smoked salmon, anda type of light salsa as a garnish. It was scrumptious, and light on the tummy. The two eggs on the side were perfectly cookedand super creamy. Now, the cinnamon chip pancake was perfect in every way. If I may make a comparison to the cinnamon pancakesthat IHOP makes. IHOP's version is overpowering, and you need to stop almost mid bite in order to cleanse your palate because ofthe extreme sweetness. First bites cinnamon chipped pancakes are directly opposite. They aren't overly sweet but bursting withflavor. It was no struggle to clean my plate of them. The coffee was basic, but I enjoyed mine with three creams and two sugars.In my opinion that is the golden ratio:). And the water came in a cute glass milk jug. Food was delicious! I got the meat lovers skillet and it was phenomenal! Plenteous portion size and everything was great. Others... in my party got The Daily Triple, and kids silver dollar pancakes. We went for lunch and were seated right away, fast service,and super friendly and open to our questions and explaining the dishes and the specials. Thanks for the great meal! Read more
