Reviews for Nhinjo Sushi South Western in Oklahoma City, OK

I had really high hopes for this place since I?ve had it before as take-out from another Nhinjo Sushi, but this unfortunately... was the worst sushi I?ve ever had. When I first walked in, atmosphere seemed ok, but a lot of tables were dirty and supersticky. We were the only customers in the restaurant at the beginning of evening, so I?m not sure why the tables were notcleaned properly. We went ahead and ordered 4 different rolls and some cream cheese wontons. Cream cheese wontons were reallygood? Sushi on the other hand was not. It was hardly edible and flavors were terrible. I thought to myself, ?why does this tastelike pre-made, day old sushi?? The tempura shrimp was soggy and the rice was hard as a rock, yet falling apart. I went up to askthe staff if it was pre-made and they confirmed my suspicions. Apparently, some rolls are pre-made from lunch time. No refundwas offered until my S.O. went up a second time and asked for one, because it was just too awful to continue. Luckily, theyseemed to understand and refunded us for the rolls that were inedible. Definitely will not be coming back. 2 stars because theyrefunded our money without putting up a fight. Read more

I ordered the shrimp and the rainbow rolls. I've only eaten the shrimp so far. However, this roll was the worst I've had. It was... very far from fresh and tasted and had the stale texture of being a few days on a shelf. I don't typically have a hugedisposition to of the shelf prepackaged sushi as I love WinCo sushi, but this was just bad. I'm scared to eat the rainbow atthis point. Read more

The speed in which they finish your order is like extremely fast, and the staff is nice too! I never got the sushi so I don?t... know how good that is, but the fried rice is tasty. The teriyaki chicken is SO good it?s soft and tasty! Read more

I ordered a poke bowl appetizer and it took 20 min. Not much Tuna. Overpriced.

I don?t really recommend this location. The staff was really nice & professional but I don?t know why my sushi was so thick &... soggy. It was my first time trying this location of western but I?ve been a customer of nhinja for years & I order the samething every time. I?m not sure if it?s because this is a new location but I didn?t enjoy my sushi at all. In fact I probablywon?t go back to nhinja or nhinjo after this. They?re a little bit too pricey to not have good quality sushi. You can get thesame rolls other places for the same price that are actually authentic tasting & good quality. This location kind of ruined itfor me. Maybe it?s the way they package their sushi to-go. Maybe it should have had more room for my sushi rolls to breathe inthe containers. I?m not sure, but I wanted to leave a review and I don?t ever leave reviews that?s how bad it was & I order thesame thing to go all the time at other locations. Read more
