This was my first visit but it won't be my last. They have sushi that they put on a little train that goes around a big table. ... You pick what you want based on the color of the plate. Price ranges from 3.25 to 4.50 for stuff on the train or you may orderfrom the menu which is a bit lower priced. A great place for date night. Read more

Full Disclosure: I am NOT a sushi person and frankly I only eat a few items here while my girlfriend actually utilizes all of... the many options they offer. That said, this is easily the most underrated sushi place in KC. It's a really good place foranybody regardless of how much they like or dislike sushi as everything they offer is freshly made and the small portions givesyou a lot of control over how much you get. The service is really good as well. They're helpful for beginners to conveyor-beltsushi and are really good at keeping your drink full. It's a real shame when I see the parking lot close to empty because itfeels that for a town that apparently loves sushi, nobody seems to get how good this place is! Edit: OH and if you like tempuracrab sticks or want to try getting into sushi without just jumping in, they have a dish that's just crab sticks, rice and acouple sauces and it's literally 90% of what I eat here personally, it's just so good. Visited in 2014. Cool experience, but when it was time to pay our bill and I handed over my credit card, the girl behind the... counter was writing something down and kept looking up and around. I didn't think much of it, but a few days later a hotel inKansas City and an Apple purchase appeared as fraudulent charges on my credit card (note that I lived in North Dakota at thetime and was visiting from out of town, but this was the only place I used that card over the weekend which means she definitelystole my credit card number). So that kinda sucked. But the food was really great and other than that, I'm glad I went. Read more

Absolutely loved watching the sushi being prepared. The two gentlemen are awesome. The prices are high for the sushi you get.... The good sushi (purple plate) is 2 pieces for $4.50. The calamari was delicious and worth the $4.50. The imitation crab andother California roll type sushi is 2-3 pieces for$3.50. it's ok sushi but the price is too high. Read more

Good sushi. Not the best ever but scratches the itch. They are super helpful and willing to help you pick what you like or bring... out dumplings and ragoons as options. (The fried dumplings are FANTASTIC) Read more

This place is awesome. A mini train delivers small plates of sushi to you. Different color plates for different prices so... everything can be added up at the end. The Itamae is very good and attentive to your needs if you don't see what you want or ifyou want to try something different he's great at suggestions. My new favorite is the Santa Fe. Sooo good. What a fun experience! Several different types of sushi to choose from and the Sushi chefs are continuously making more rolls,... plating them, and putting them on the train to circle around the bar in front of diners. You just grab what you want! You arecharged per plate and the waitress actually counts your plates when you are finished eating. There were 3 colors of plates; bluewas 3$, yellow 3.25$, purple 3.50$. Each plate has 2 pieces of sushi. The chef will also make a requested roll if you have afavorite. All of the rolls we tried were delicious! The only challenge was knowing what type of sushi I was selecting from thetrain. The lids covering the sushi are clear but cloudy which does make it a little difficult to determine what you aregrabbing. We will visit again because it is a fun concept and because the sushi was yummy! Read more
