4 of us went to have a drink and order take out. Arrived approximately around 5, they opened at 3. No 4 seats together at the... bar so we tried to move stools together towards the end of the bar. Manager came over and stated that the wait staff needed tohave access to the printer. So we moved the chairs back and stood waiting to be seated at a table. The manager then stated " ohso you want a table now, you need to stand over there and wait for the hostess". So we stood near the sign to wait. After a fewmoments the hostess proceeded to seat us an we informed him that we just wanted a drink and were going to order take out. Hethen stated the take out closed. He checked with the manager and she came out and stated "take out is closed". We have attemptedseveral times to give this establishment another try. NEVER AGAIN! The manager is so rude. No reason given for why it wasclosed, just "matter of fact". Will spend my hard earned money at an establishment that appreciates my business. Read more
We waited for quite awhile to be sat down because a wedding was taking place the same night. This also caused us to not be able... to order drinks, unfortunately, because the service was very backed up (told by our waitress) and this also was my Bacheloretteparty. The person serving us did not check in much at all during our meal, so overall we had a large wait time here. As a whole,my experience here was not horrid, but I hope they do a better job serving everyone else in the future even during largeevents. PS: the food was delicious. Read more
I recommend the Mad Lobster drink! Great treat that is refreshing after a day spent at the beach. ????? The food was also... delicious and portions were worth the money spent. Duffy's also has a lot of seating compared to a lot of other restaurants. Tryit out for yourself. Read more
Very Good food. Relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend coming before 4pm during the summer at least if you want to avoid crowds... and waiting. We went right when they opened and got seated right away. We only had to wait a few minutes for our early dinner.My only complaint is that they should have served our salads first before the meal ???? came out but instead within a couple ofminutes of eating our salad ???? the food came out. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us but not so much that it wasannoying. But again I would come right when it opens up to avoid the crowd. A bit pricey as well but worth it because the foodagain is really good and they also accommodated my daughter and made her grilled cheese ???? even though it wasn’t on the menuwhich I really appreciated. I’ve been to Duffy’s a number of times and I have a good experience. Food is good, Nachos are phenomenal. Burgers look and... taste high class. My only complaint is that it’s very quiet in the afternoon which makes it awkward to hold a conversationwith someone you are with. Maybe have light music or a TV on to add a little noise. Read more
Duffy's might not be as popular as some of the Summer places down on the strip but is a staple of "real" Old Orchard Beach. They... have a mid-size event space which I've been to for a host of events ranging from birthday parties, to baby showers, to townmeetings, to wedding reception. Plus their bartender Dennis Coffey is a genius who made an epic multi-day run on Jeopardy so youhave to stop in to see the local legend! Read more
