The food was good, the scallops are the best around and the service was polite as well. The atmosphere is very down home... country. Read more

Definitely a go-to if you're visiting. A local treasure ? Always wonderful. I'm in love with their coffee milkshakes and always... order one first thing! Their burgers are delicious and filling, the desserts are mostly perfect (pumpkin pie was surprisinglyunderwhelming compared to how great everything else is, but that could just be me). I hope to one day have tried everything hereso that I can leave a more thorough review~ Read more

Was nostalgic to go back there with my family but the food quality was not good. Please stop serving your biscuits and gravy.... The gravy is horrible! The kitchen could use the drippings from cooking the sausage links and make a better product than thatwith flour, milk, salt and pepper. Read more

Came here 2 days in a row for breakfast because we enjoyed it so much the first time. Saturday morning we had a great server who... was pleasant, quick to check on the table, and right on the spot with drink refills. Altogether a great meal. Sunday was adifferent experience. Unpleasant waitress who never checked our table. One of our party ordered the exact same meal as on theprevious day - it was he who convinced us to go back a second time. It looked nothing like it did the first day - it wascompletely unappetizing and different. He didn?t eat it, but our absent server never noticed. Not one refill on coffee. The restof the party?s food was ok but nowhere near as enjoyable as the first day. So Saturday gets 5 stars, Sunday gets 0 stars, average 3 stars. Read more

Always so courteous, cheerful, and quick! The food was hot and delicious, and the waitress was knowledgeable about the dishes... and came back to check on us at near perfect intervals. She also caught a mistake in my boyfriend's dish before she even broughtit out and had the chef remake that portion of it for him! This is honestly my favorite Governor's location. Keep it up! Wewill definitely come back for more date nights/mornings ???? Read more

Guys, avoid this place if you want real food. We spent $100.25 here for my son's BIRTHDAY... What we received was just so... disappointing: frozen, somehow burnt meatloaf, instant mashed red potatoes and gravy, and boxed stuffing. I'm not joking!!! Theportions compared to the ridiculous prices was astonishing, and to top it off, it was disgusting. I asked for a manager to callme back, and no one has reached out. I will never spend my money here again, as we threw most of it away, I suggest you gosomewhere else for fresh food. We deserve better than this place. Read more

What am I eating, so good, so happy, so delicious, the New England pot roast, is beef heaven, the cheese sticks are awesome,... they are huge, and delicious, the hot chocolate is so good, is not a cheep tasting chocolate, no no no, it is good chocolate. Icame to Maine for work, I have eaten in so many places, but I think I found the jewel of Maine with out a doubt. The meatloaf, the beef, the mash potatoes, cheese sticks, is overwhelming. I?m happy I found this place. Friday Jan,14 2022 Read more
