All of the times in the last couple years of going here have not had the greatest experience. BUT today was perfect! They didn't... limit our sauces. ( or get mad when we asked) They were filled up to the very top! And great portions in the tropichop. Finallyenough sauce for the food without a limit or fight! Their food is really good but the staff at this location not so much. Food items are usually messed up. And they pretty much... never get your sauces right. You either get no sauce or the wrong sauce. Then if you do get the right sauce you get a mostlyempty container of one sauce that's supposed to cover the numerous food items ordered. It's a shame. This is a very bad place now. We used to go from Tampa all the way to Oldsmar to enjoy better quality in general. it is not... happening anymore. Our last day was 8/12/2022. The quality of food is embarrassing and the service worse. The manager does noteven care. People cleaning the floor and then touching the food without washing their hands or wearing gloves. The place wasempty on a Friday at 6PM. Spent $35 for 2 adults and 2 kids to get very little. Get away!!! Read more
Very rarely have I been to restaurant lately where I left truly feeling appreciated for my business and everything from the meal... to the customer service were beyond expectations. That happened recently during trip to grab dinner for my family. A verykind young lady, Kristen, helped me with my questions and made recommendations for my order. She was patient, knowledgeable,and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job and believe in the product. Her recommendations and customer service were spot on. Myfamily was very pleased with my selections. Wish more places I visited had someone like Kristen working for them. I highlyrecommend this restaurant and, if you stop in, ask for Kristen if you need any suggestions. We've been coming to Pollo Tropical infrequently since it opened years ago. It's a great lunch or dinner place, before or after... a winsome movie at AMC Woodlands. For our last lunch here 4/24/22, we had lunch before seeing THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE. Asbefore, staff was friendly and service was fast. We ordered the special and small drinks. No more soda machine in the corner -staff pours the drinks. No more delivery to your table - wait at the counter for your order. Inside was still clean and withplenty of tables. When we sat down at a booth with food and drinks, Husband realized he had a tea - not the Coke he ordered.But it was okay, so he drank it. The beans and rice was good - not yellow rice as we had had before. Only brown or white ricefor the special. Chicken was good - in the past, we've had plumper chickens. They must have put these chickens on a diet. Thehighlight of the meal was the order of plantains - as plentiful and delicious as remembered. We will continue to come heresince the staff is nice, the food is good, and the prices are excellent. Read more
