We’ve been visiting here since 2012, used to be our favorite restaurant in the area when visiting. Have had some excellent... meals. Unfortunately things seem to have gone downhill in terms of the food (2012-2016, food was excellent, 2017 onwards seemedto have declined). The ambiance/ atmosphere is still lovely, and service good although you can tell servers are stretched postpandemic. Our recent meal (Aug 2022) left a lot to be desired and was really inconsistent. We had a yummy starter (beet hummus).Fish feature (halibut) was delicious but the risotto it was served with was horrible - watery and no seasoning. My husband hadthe pork chop special and was pretty disappointed - not cooked thru, lots of fat. All in all not a great visit, not sure we’llbe back. The menu has been significantly decreased, with there being much fewer options. All in all the visit left something tobe desired. Read more
Spectacular! From the moment we pulled into the parking lot and saw the beautiful outdoor terrace embraced with grapevines, we... knew the evening was going to be fabulous. Our waiter, Peter, was fantastic. He was attentive, fun, and just a delight. Thefood - the wine - the desserts ….. exceeded our expectations. From the lamb chops, fish, steak, and chicken dishes we wereserved, each one was delicious. Kudos to the chef for not only delicious food, but for right-portion sizes to the presentation;simply outstanding. We booked a wine tasting/estate tour today and were very impressed from the very start. We arrived at Hester Creek Winery in... one of the most beautiful settings we have seen anywhere anywhere. We were greeted by our lovely wine host who stepped usthrough the entire wine making process. Ending with a fabulous tasting fleet of their best wines. Tasting room was absolutelylovely, as were the wines. She made our experience noteworthy and engaging. We topped off with a lovely meal on the terrace atthe winery’s Terrafina restaurant. Kudos to the entire staff who made our experience worth reviewing. I highly recommendedsigning up for the entire experience at this fantastic winery. We left with some stellar wines and a great experience and wewill definitely be back! Read more
Amazing!!! Incredible service! Delicious food! We love the Phantom Creek Patio & the one at Burrowing Owl - but this one takes... the cake. Sit on a patio covered in old vines - sheltered from the 38° heat - and sit early. They don’t kick you out early,and you will not want to leave. (Lucky for us we’re booked a four night stay at the Hester Creek Villas - a 5 minute walk upthe hill through the vineyard… pure magic. Read more

An ideal winery dining experience! It’s on the classier, pricier side. But the service and entrees were amazing, not to... mention the charming dining space and covered patio! Our waitress was one of the best I think I’ve ever had at any restaurant,very professional! Great wines to try! The charcuterie was very good and plenty as a meal or an appie for 3-4. My friend had afull fancy plate with the pork chops. The cannelloni too was exceptional! The dessert, a Grand Marnier infused peach pie withraspberry compote in a shortbread crust with creme freshe, sounded amazing but sadly did not deliver on taste. The potato pizzawas also nothing exceptional - lacks an acid to balance all the starch. Read more
