Food was great but a little cool. It seems like the kitchen is on the opposite side of the building, a bit too far from the... dining room. Just the air flowing over the plate, while being carried uncovered, is enough to cool food down quite a bit. Ifthey used warmed plates it would probably help. I love the restaurant. It's nice and cozy with old world atmosphere. The food is very good - it's hard to find proper German... food these days. The menu could be a bit more extensive but otherwise I can't complain. Read more

They had the most amazing fish fry during the Lenten season. Just came here on a staycation day and had the most amazing meal.... Hubby had chicken paprikash, and I got the variety with paprikash schnitzel and a bratwurst with potato salad and sauerkrautboth came with potato soup or salad... the roll and everything was on point down to the cheese strudel for dessert. The place is beautiful! Becky and Marc are excellent hosts, they are welcoming and informative, they even gave me a book about... the German American club and its history! The venue is perfect for any kind of event, especially a remarkable one like awedding, engagement photos, or family party. The place is enormous with a variety of activities. It?s only $30 for themembership and it?s for the whole year! Oktoberfest, Sommerfest and other dinner nights are worth the visit! Read more
