Our experience at HV's was very good ! Heather was our waitress and she was very good and helpful when we asked about the... selection of food on the menu . We started off with an appetizer of cauliflower which was superb . I had the prime rib whichwas prepared just as I like it with tenderness and juicyness which was wonderful ! My wife had the chef salad which was enoughfor two !! The only drawback was that the prime rib was a little pricey but it was still comparable with other restaurantsaround the area which offer it . All in all it was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely make a return visit ! Read more
Was staying in town for an event and didn't want to order pizza, so decided to try HV's for something different. The service... was extremely slow and we heard staff tell our server on two separate occasions that we were in her section and needed waitedon. When our server finally came to our table, she asked if we were ready to order or needed a few minutes. I assured herthat, as long as we had been waiting, that we were more than ready to place an order. The food came out fairly quickly and wasOK. No drink refills were offered as we were never checked on by our server until bringing our bill. She was too busy offeringto make "smoothies" for her fellow co-workers. So far I've been twice, but will be a repeat customer. The only complaint is on the first trip I ordered the steak medium, it... was more well than i would have liked, so the 2nd time I ordered medium rare and it was closer to the rare. In both cases I justate the steak, I'm not super picky, but bases on 2 experiences I believe maybe they're not temping the steak in the middle. Our experience at this restaurant was poor. When we first arrived, the hostess was nice. My husband is a local contractor and... one of the waiters was showing him around the new addition, as he was impressed. The owner pulled him aside and asked what hewas doing is an angry tone, then asked why we were sitting over there, looked at me and said "No kids." So we had to go sitsomewhere else. What amazed me was there were kids sitting in that section, and yet she still made us get up and move. She latercomes over, tries to apologize and tells us they just don't allow "young" kids to sit there. In our opinion, food and portionsizes were below average for the price, orange juice was not cold, and there was no music being played, so we could hear allconversations at distant tables. Dinner was amazing. Went back for breakfast and ordered a skillet. Added jalapeños and tomatoes. I guess that confused the... kitchen or waitress. They left out my mushrooms and my cheese and forgot my order of sausage. It was still delicious and worththe wait. Best place I've found in town. Prices are affordable and they make good mixed drinks. Read more
Great atmosphere, great service, great prices. My daughter and I were visiting and had to check out this local favorite. The... service was great! There was a guy walking around the whole time, checking tables and giving refills as needed. Our waitress wasvery attentive and the food came out super fast. Very good. Stopped by for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. The cream cheese poppers are great. I love that... they actually have cream cheese instead of cheddar like so many restaurants. The sidewinder fries were thick and meaty andcooked just right. The homemade chips were also just right. If I'm ever back in Olney, we will probably stop there again. Read more
