So we went to this place for dinner on saturday. Food: Curry - Ordered paneer tikka masala, malai kofta. Clearly, chef doesnot... understand the difference in gravy of tikka masala and malai kofta, because both were same, with kofta being slightlyspicy. Rice that comes with curry were STALE, bad, we trashed them. We will never give anyone such rice to eat. Malai kofta wasgood actually in taste. Naans- we ordered mirchi, garlic and onion, all were good. Biryani- we ordered mix veg biryani, i didnot liked it as it felt it was prepared say yesterday and did not had a taste of freshness. But my friends loved it. Money -spent $70 including taxes, but felt like wasted it. Could have gone to a cheaper place for same amount. Also, they need toupdate rates on their website because evrything was expensive in there. Now coming to why I am giving them 1 star where in suchcase i would end up giving 3 or more stars. They have bar code scanner kept on each table asking to review them for a freedesert, and i see almost everyone writing review for that free desert. And the free desert is kheer. As a customer, I feelbeing robbed and I am super dissapointed because i choose a place to eat based on google review comments. Read more

Place was nice and calm. Ambience was reasonably fine with a specific wall of pictures of popular celebs, places from India.... Coming to food, it was really good. making the dishes based on your preference and any customizations. Fish in appetizers wassurprisingly good. Biryani quantity for a single portion was quite too much, so be cautious while ordering!! Read more

Top 10% Omaha Reviewer. Follow me on here or Instagram @markthisplacedown for more reviews. Went to Astoria Biryani House this... weekend and had a delightful meal and experience! WHAT I ORDERED Vegetarian Thali. It had so many small dishes that I can?trecall every thing that was on there, but this was a great option if you wanted to try a little bit of everything. The Thaliwas a really fun eating experience as I?ve never had it before. The spiciest thing on here wasn?t super spicy (maybe a 4/10). Ifyou love Naan you?re going to have to order an extra side of it with this meal. MENU The menu is massive and if you aren?t afrequent eater of Indian food (like myself) it can get a little overwhelming. There are a lot of tasty looking vegetarian andnon-veg options along with Indo Chinese dishes on their menu. The best ones have pictures so that?s a major plus. For a fullmenu visit astoriaomaha.com VISITING CONDITIONS I came here with my buddy around lunchtime on a Saturday and it wasn?t verybusy. ESTABLISHMENT Astoria is a medium-sized family owned restaurant. The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and have nice woodtiled floors. They probably have around 10-12 four person tables/booths. STAFF The staff was very nice and accommodating. Theyknow the menu well and are able to explain the menu items if you have any questions. Big plus was when the owner came and askedus what we thought about our Thali meals. PRICING Things here are reasonable priced and pretty on-pair with your typical Indianrestaurants. Appetizers range from $3-15 and entrees are $10+ (they have giant family meal options as well). LOCATION 5010 S108th St, Omaha, NE 68137 If you like tasty Indian food with plenty of options you can definitely MARK THIS PLACE DOWN as amust try! Read more

Like their name suggests, biryani is the best that I have eaten in the midwest region and it was a pleasant experience.... Karampodi chicken appetizer had the right levels of spice and flavor to satisfy your tastebuds and definitely worth a try. Read more
