This is the second time we came here. I had the El Basha Grill Platter and Gyro combo for my husband. He doesn't care for the... sauce. He said he liked the gyro (meat). The next time we go back, we'd like to put the garlic or tahini sauce in a different saucer. The baklava tastes really good but because of the butter, it's a bit greasy. I also had the grape leaves. I prefer itwith meat on the side since it's just rice wrapped in leaves with spices and vegetables. The area is too small for a person witha wheelchair. I love the staff. They serve you with a smile not a serious frown face. Read more

We have been coming here since they first opened their doors. And after so many years, traveling the country to find the best... Mediterranean food. We found that this is by far the best most authentic Mediterranean cuisine you will find in the US. Needlessto say, aside from quality authentic food, you will find that it is EXTREMELY affordable. Much much respect to the owner forcontinuing to offer food that is affordable to all walks of life. The staff is extremely friendly and the environment is superb.Food was cooked in a reasonable fashion, meaning there was no wait at all, and yet the food was extremely fresh and hot like itshould be served. We walk out of there feeling like we got a great deal for such high quality food. Grape leaves are not made ina machine, they?re hand made. The falafels come out nice and warm and crispy. The hummus and babaganoush are made toperfection. We find this to be an amazing experience. We suggest you take the time to dine in. Read more

I was craving Mediterranean food and we came upon this place! We did takeout because it was T minus 5 minutes before I threw a... ?BF? because I was so hungry. They quoted us 20 minutes and we got there early and it was prepared!!! Now wait till you see thepictures? the food was beautiful and smelled so so good. But who cares about that. How did it taste??? BEST Mediterranean foodwe?ve ever had. Hands down. To top off this experience, the environment inside and outside was immaculate. Such a cute place tosit and have lunch with friends or go to grab a bite and get some work done. 10/10 will definitely be coming back! Pictured:Chicken Shawarma over rice with Tahini sauce, Side Salad with both dressings offered mixed together, and the gyro with fries andextra Suzuki sauce. Total didn?t even come to $20 before tip! But El Basha is stillthe best Mediterranean place in omaha ? it was still always bustling during the lunch hours!! So will be back to my monthlyvisit to this place. Read more

Right off the bat, the ambience was very calming, thanks to the dark lighting and greenery. It's not too fancy with self-serve... Coke machines but definitely a good place to do a lunch with friends! The place is small but there's ample seating. The staffwas very friendly and gave us menu recommendations. We were seated and after a short wait our food came out, and was so fresh,so flavorful, and so delicious! The waiters let us leave the cleanup to them as they quickly attended our table once we werefinished. Read more

We enjoyed this place! You order everything at the counter and they bring it to you. She got the gyro platter with salad and I... got the beef shawarma wrap combo with fries. We also got the El Basha tea and the Turkish coffee. They were good (coffee isstrong!), though I do recommend getting one of the other -- they give you a whole pot. They play middle eastern music and theatmosphere feels authentic. There's some nice outdoor patio seating as well, so this is a perfect spot to hit up during thewarmer months after an excursion at NFM. Will be returning to try other dishes. Definitely recommend.
