We went as a large group with family. The Chef Antonio was amazing! He was entertaining and definitely knew his craft. The food... was great. My only few negatives here were the hostess seemed very rushed and spilled some soups and such, but that happens whenit's busy. We had a party of 13 and they said they could accommodate, but the seating was more than tight. The atmosphere, food, and Chef will likely bring us back despite some of the minor negatives. Read more

This was our first experience at Genji and we will absolutely be back! The food was excellent, the experience was incredible,... and the price was not bad. We have always gone to Kobe but we were all in agreement that this is a better bang for your buck. Read more

I don?t even know where to begin, my family and I have been eating at Genji?s for years and over the last few months the service... has taken a turn for the worst. Tonight was finally the last straw, the Manger Jermey was very rude and had a spicy attitude. Aswe checked in he told us that we were supposed to be there 15 minutes prior to our reservation and he had to wait a literal hourto be seated! STRIKE 1! Then once we sat down and ordered appetizers they took 40 mins to come out. The appetizers were greatespecially the dynamite shrimp. Our drinks also took an a while to come out. Once our drinks finally got there the cook took anadditional 20 mins to come so we had been there for a total of 2 hours before getting served. When he came out his cart wasunder prepped. They ran out of noodles and our whole table had order noodles. There wasn?t enough eggs, rice, chicken, orvegetables on the cart. The cook was great and the best part of the night. After we ate another cook opened the door beside ourtable to store his equipment. There was a huge hole leading to outside! We were so disgusted (pictures in review). STRIKE 2 MyAunt asked one of the servers that was walking by for something and before she could even ask he smacked his hands together andthrew them in the air. Once he was confronted about it he acted like he didn?t do it. When it was brought up to the same Manger(JERMEY) he said nothing. STRIKE 3! Tonight was a horrible experience and we will never eat there again. Read more

Let me start by saying my kids and I LOVED the grill experience. Our cook Brandon was extremely personable, very funny, engaging... and was great with keeping everyone involved and laughing. However the service from the wait staff fell very short. Somehow atour table they forgot to give us the 3 section sauce cups. We were already almost done eating when our cook noticed and huntedthem down for us. We were 1 fork short for the table so my son and I shared a fork the entire time even after asking multipleservers for a fork. Most of our drinks sat empty and at one point a member of our table returned to the waiting area bar to getdrinks refilled. My sisters Crab Rangoons never showed up untill an hour later after she reminded 2 different servers. When thecook was done, he left and said our server would be over soon. We sat for almost 20 minutes with no one bringing our checks. Wefinally flagged down a server (not ours) and she attempted to split our checks. Our server finally showed up and took about 15minutes to come back with checks for us. It was the longest 3 hour dinner of my life. Also our checks were a mess. Afterexplaining to 2 servers how to split them, we all ended up paying for others people's items just to be able to leave because wedidn't want to wait another 15 minutes to leave. We had a 6pm reservation and showed up at 545. We didn't get seated until after7. 10/10 would go back for Brandon. 2/10 would go back based on service. Read more

Genji is the quintessential dinner and a show experience. We had the pleasure of Chef Oscar cooking for us, cracking eggs and... jokes as he skillfully grilled, sliced, and flambéd our dinner. It was a fun experience for our entire family group, and weenjoyed a delicious meal. We appreciated the playfully competitive interactions between chefs as well. Each meal comes withsoup and salad. The salad is a typical iceberg lettuce mix. The most exciting part was the ginger dressing. I personally did notlike the soup (I think it has a beef broth, which I am not partial to), but other people in my group did enjoy it. I think thesoup and salad are understated menu items and could be improved. We enjoyed a sampling of appetizers, testing out dumplings, egg rolls, and fried calamari. These were absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying calamari. It may surprise you thatyou will enjoy it! The filet mignon (steak) was cooked to order, the chicken and shrimp were plump and tender, the salmon (withboth soy and teriyaki sauces) was well-cooked and flaky. The vegetables were cooked through and had a nice bite. The steamedrice was easy to pick up with chopsticks and the fried rice was perfectly seasoned and mixed. The noodles were also delicious.Basically, you can?t go wrong with just about any meal choice. Overall, we had a great experience. The meal was delicious aswell. We will definitely be back for other special occasions in the future! Read more
