Planning an event from a distance is stressful and challenging. Karen at PorkyButts was so organized and confident and helpful... in arranging a meal for about 100 people, I didn?t feel that extra stress of not being in person to check everything out. Weordered the pulled pork, chopped chicken, slaw, beans, banana pudding. Everything was a hit! When our group heard there wereseconds, people were more than happy to go back through the line! And not only was Karen great, but she?s got staff who areready to step in when she?s out of the restaurant. Angela helped me just the day before our event to adjust our numbers and addon dessert for our large group! These ladies know their stuff and were a pleasure to work with! First time eating at this establishment and the 25 minutes waiting to order was worth it. Be sure during busy times, send a... person from your group to get a table while the rest of your group waits in line to order. Burnt ends have to be my favorite onthe menu; and the brisket chili is definitely worth mentioning. French fries were perfect. Sausage and pulled pork were verygood and I liked having a choice of spicy barbecue sauce that was available at each table. For the amount of food; I think thatprice was very reasonable. I do like a cold beer with my BBQ; but not offered here. This will not keep me from ever coming backthough. Read more
Hands down the best BBQ n town, probably in the Midwest. Out of the many times I have been here the food is consistently good.... One time they forgot my sauce and cornbread on a to go order so check twice before you leave, but the food more than made up forit. Do yourself a favor and get the burnt ends. Will be back! Read more
First time here to meet some friends. I was greeted by ANGELA who was at a register waiting to take my order. She was beyond... fantastic. She was helpful in guiding me through the many menu choices all while having fun and relating to me as a person. Itis an understatement to say it is difficult to find excellent customer service these days but Angela is a STAR! Management-shedeserves free BBQ for a year and a raise! Keep up the good work Angela. As for the food. Awesome BBQ. I ordered a rib platter.The ribs are a winner. Fall off the bone and flavorful. The smoked beans are a must. They were piping hot and delicious. I willbe back. Thanks.
