We have been coming to this bar to eat every year when we are in the Leelanau peninsula. We always bring people with us to enjoy... the view and food. Tonight the food was great (seafood chowder, salmon salad, burger, pasta), they only had enough staff for theporch (understandable these days) and we did not have to wait long for a seat or food. What ruined it was our waiter Levi. Weoverlooked that we asked the soup to be served first, it came with all (no biggie). We had 5 and sat with 3 on one side on onebill and 2 on the other for a separate bill. We told him in the beginning and before he brought the check. Both of our billswere all mixed up. I actually took out a pen and marked what should have been on ours. He still did not get it straightenedout... we figured it out amongst ourselves-we're still not upset. They were busy and he apologized. My husband gave him a $100bill for our bill of $46. He brought us $4 in change. My husband said something to him and he pulled a $50 out of his pocket andhe knew exactly how much change we had coming.... Three strikes you're out. Then he said he had to get people's drinks andhurried away. Most wait staff would bring you change for a tip not a $50 and why would you ever put it in your pocket???? I liketo give people the benefit of the doubt, but 3 strikes is hard to overlook. Read more
Not a good experience. We walked in and waitress was very nice telling us she would be right back to seat us. We were... commenting on the beautiful view and cute restaurant indoor and out. The whomever she was from the bar yells over. Will beawhile we are short handed and I can only do what I can do in the kitchen. She was very snotty. Even the waitresses looked ather. Needless to say we turned around and walked out. Will not go back or recommend. Read more
Pretty terrible. Spinach artichoke dip was runny and sour, chips were stale. Service was below average and the food is over... priced. I'd rather drink lake water than go back. I'd rate negative stars if I could. The view is fantastic though which earnsone star overall. Read more
Went here this past weekend while boating in the area. First off, the setting and views are awesome...definitely 5 stars there.... The restaurant itself was clean and had a great back deck for seating. That is where the pros end! The food was not good atall and was way overpriced for what it was. If I'm paying $21 for a fish sandwich with fries it should be really good, but tobe honest it wouldn't have been worth $10. My wife had a feather in her nacho dip which she found halfway througheating...after that you don't really have an appetite to finish your food. Only reason it wasn't a single star is because ofthe location on the water and the views. Read more
Great view and beer selection. Light spirit selection. Limited menu offering Mon-Wed which caught us off guard, appetizer and... drinks only. They still had pizza which we didn't have but they looked good. Read more
Great view of the bay. Service was fine. Food was good. Value to taste was a bit off. If I'm paying $25 for fried fish and... french fries it should be outstanding (not just good). The view to value makes up for it. Also found the parking a bit of achallenge. Overall we'll be back Read more
Good atmosphere and service, terrific view of the bay, very great food. Update: been here several times now, food is always... good. Sometimes they get quite busy but its the best place around. The Whitefish is amazing. Read more
