I had breakfast with friends this morning from out of town and we chose Perkins because of its location and it's food menu. It... was clean and well maintained. It had great seating options and the wait staff was doing an excellent job. I think they were alittle short on cashiers to check out, but other than that, we had a great time.. Read more
While traveling to a high school reunion stopped at this Perkins location on the way there and on the way back. It was a tale of... two cities. While on the trip there it was wonderful, food was hot fresh & cheerfully served. On the way back service was sloweven dare I say in different. We stopped at about the same time of day both times. Around lunch time. And I don't know what thedifference was, same restaurant. looked to be most of the same staff. Meal we had coming back was delivered not according to ourorder and wasn't prepared very well. We didn't make a stink but we were very surprised that a place that had been so good whilewe were on our 1st visit was so bad just a few days later. I generally like Perkins. They seem to occupy a niche That's alittle bit more upscale and I rarely have had a bad meal there. And because my recent experience is so 50/50 I don't really knowhow to judge them. I went with the garden salad with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, croutons and ranch dressingand the red mashed potatoes and brown gravy. We ate at this facility on Sunday morning heading back home. My wife ordered pancakes and the syrup poured out of the server so... fast, we knew something was wrong. No taste and terribly runny. They had obviously watered down the syrup!! My wife asked forbetter syrup and the waitress said, it was all the same. She did get some jam as z as substitute. When I paid the bill, Iquestioned the manager and he said that was the only quality syrup they could get at thx time. What an excuse!!! Always supplychain issues, no apologies.
