I went here a few months back when I was in town for a funeral. I live out in California now, but I am from Oneonta. The sonic... here has slightly different drink options, and I had a few questions. David, the manager came out to talk to me, and was justvery nice. He suggested a drink called Sun Drop, that he liked(we dont have that here) and I tried it. He was spot on, it wasvery good. My wife and I pulled in to the Oneonta location at a little before 10 p.m., not realizing they were just about to close. The... lights were on but the screens were black. I pushed the call button and a voice crackled to life. She took our order and wasvery nice and professional and assured us she would be right out with our food as soon as it was ready but the chicken wouldneed a few extra minutes to cook but appreciated our patience in advance. True to her word, the food came out pretty prompt andwith a smile considering we came there as they were closing so that meant a little extra work closing the store. The hot chocolate was basically BOILING brown water with no flavor, and I mean it was boiling, couldn't drink it for a long time... and my daughter had a hard time driving with it out of fear of spilling it on herself, it doesn't need to be that hot people Read more

So yesterday evening my partner and I went and we parked in front the window . I literally watched one of the managers who was I... guess dipping something out ; Possibly cheese or something but he was not wearing any gloves and was resting the whatever it waswith his fingers. Once again I place my order in my card would not scan. I have been told by both the general manager and district manager several... months ago that they were getting them fixed. They worked for a while and now do not work again. It seems that every other timeI come here the card scanners do not work and they have some kind of excuse, it is extremely frustrating! Read more
My mother-in-law and I stopped by Sonic in Oneonta. Our order was a little over $10. Our carhop was named Rebecca and when she... came to the car, I explained to her that my card wouldn't scan but I had cash enough to pay for our meal but only had $1 leftover for her tip. My mother-in-law is 80+ years old and was in severe pain and ready to leave. Rebecca offered to scan my cardand I thanked her and said, I have it covered but I'm really sorry that your tip is just $1. She didn't say a word, turnedaround and stomped off. After getting home, I got some more money and was waiting on my husband to come and stay with his motherso I could go back and tip this lady...but then, I saw on Facebook where she publicly complained about the woman that onlytipped her $1. I ALWAYS TIP WELL even though most times my food is less than mediocre, as it was this time as well. My husbandand I average eating there at least twice a week, but we will NEVER be back. To this "Rebecca" check your attitude. I understandyou work for tips, but some folks honestly don't have bad intentions with their tip... Sometimes it just can't be helped. Read more
