I typically don’t post reviews (either good or bad) but this restaurant definitely deserves a poor rating. My husband and I... live in Lake Charles. As such, we have access to some high quality restaurants that offer stellar food and service. Perhaps myexpectations are too high, but the food in this restaurant is lacking in every way. I ordered the filet with asparagus andhollandaise sauce. My husband ordered the filet with crawfish cornbread with a wedge salad. The wedge salad was standard. It hada stong mayo taste but was otherwise ok although it could use a balsamic glaze IMO. Both filets were cooked to perfection butthere needs some type of reduction sauce as it was just a piece of meat laying on a bare plate. The asparagus was cooked toperfection but they forgot the hollandaise sauce. My husbands crawfish cornbread was DRY DRY DRY....and the entire slice ofbread only had two crawfish that we could identify. The wait staff was extremely friendly. Krystal was our server and she wasgreat. The hostess was also extremely friendly. I really wanted to enjoy this meal but it left me wanting to go to the kitchenand teach the chef a few things. Get a new chef or revamp the menu or you will struggle to get repeat customers. Read more

Another Covid casualty. The place is a shell of what it once was. What is left of the employees are good hardworking people. The... place is clean but it's a shame the business isn't what is was. I can only hope things get better in 2021. Read more

We saw all the reviews pointing to the all you can eat buffet in the casino so we almost missed out on this gem of a restaurant.... The atmosphere was great and the money was reasonable to any other decent restaurant in LaFayette area. The crab "bisque" wasmore of a chowder than bisque, but the Ribeye.....oh my goodness. My husband and I are picky coming from Texas about handing outthe word, "excellent," when it comes to steaks. I don't know what it is that sets their steaks apart, but it is a must try!! Iunderline a must! I am not crazy about crab cakes in the south either, as New England usually handles the best ones. They hadhuge lumps of crab and were cooked perfectly. The steaks were so excellent we plan on going out of way in future trips to makesure we try it again. The actual name of the restaurant has a cute historic story to it also. Read more
