We went to dinner at around 6pm on Wednesday on October 5th. It took me a minute to decide what I wanted from the menu. Luckily... the cashier Alexis was patient and nice while I took a minute to decide. I ordered the Coast Taco combo and a Shrimp Taco to go.And my mom, the Supreme Burrito with chicken. When we got home the food was packaged well and I enjoyed it. I very much likedthe food and will be coming back again. The refried beans tasted how I like them. And the steak tasted good as well with a goodtexture in my opinion. Not too tough and not too raw and tasted great. Nothing really special, but still good. And the shrimptasted good, fresh, and cooked well and the tortillas were in good shape. The salsa was also very good. As for the rice. It wasalso cooked well and had excellent texture. It was just a little salty. Just a little. The service was good in my opinion. LikeI said, the cashier was patient and the wait time was acceptable for our order to be ready Unfortunately, the dining area ispretty small and cramped. I enjoyed my dinner as a nice treat. I think it's a little too expensive and I don't think thequality was QUITE worth the price we paid for. It was on the expensive side a bit. And I think the portion should have beenjust a little more than what they gave us for the money we paid. However, the food was not bad at all. I actually think it wasexcellent. Been here a couple of times now and I'm really a fan of the food. The burritos and rolled tacos are especially great, and they... have really good shredded beef. Seems relatively clean from what I've seen. The seating area is almost picnic style, with only 2proper tables inside. Prices are decent and portions are good. Their Cali sauce is good on pretty much everything they serve,honestly. The only real nitpick I have, honestly, is the wait time. It seems that you're going to be waiting 15 minutes minimum,regardless of whether there are other people in line when you get there. Other people confusingly getting their food before youwhen they ordered less makes the wait time slightly frustrating but other than that, it's great. Read more
Best Cali burrito in Orange County. I moved from SD in 2013 and I just found this gem. They make proper Cali burritos and none... of this drowned or soaked nonsense you see most of the Mexican joints in OC do. The ingredients are listed, no surprises, theratio was perfect, the meat tender, and it was just like eating a proper San Diego Cali burrito. The place was clean, the foodwasn't greasy, and the portions are huge. Like a proper Cali burrito should be. The pastor / adobada was great. We had theCali burrito and carne asada fries with carne asada and one adobada taco to try and this place is the real deal. If you're fromSan Diego and miss a proper Cali burrito, this is your spot. Wish they had one of these a little closer to me. The drive was worth it! These burritos are massive!! They must weigh about 2... lbs. They are only priced around $11 and are as big as 2 burritos you would buy elsewhere. Read more
Great food, patio available, friendly staff. I ordered the West Coast burrito with adobada and it was delicious and hefty. You... can certainly feed two with this enormous and tasty burrito. They do not skimp on the meat either. Check the place out. I know Iwill go back there again. Read more
Consistently good food! My favorite is the Supreme Burrito with Carnitas, but their classic Cali Burrito can't be ignored. Every... ingredient is fresh, they load you with meat and garnishes. Their Rolled Tacos are bomb too! I do wish their agua fresca washomemade, but the dispenser is cool. Prices were incredible pre inflation, but even now, they're very competitive. If you livenearby, you're lucky, but if you can make the drive like I do from Los Angeles, it's worth it! Read more
Love, love, LOVE Cali Tacos! This is my go-to place for incredible Mexican comfort food! The portions are HUGE and everything... tastes quite AMAZING! Good stuff! Breakfast Burritos are delish and one is big enough for 2 people ! Green salsa is tasty but spicy - pico is an extra... $2 charge however. But definitely recommend Cali Tacos if your in the mood for a good burrito. Read more
