The pupusas were big for the average I had eating before. Crunchy and soft inside. For that people complaining about the salsa... you must need to remember this culture DOESN?T picante! So nope no spicy here but tasty Read more

I really wanted this experience to be great, i had pumpimg myself up all week doing pupusa research on Tic Toc and the internet... but i was left a little disapointed. Pupusas, meat, breans, cheese...check. exactly as youd think they'd taste. Where i feltthey fell short were the acutramonts, the salsa and curtido. The salsa lacked flavor and heat and the curtido was a tad soggy. The workers were very nice. Read more

TEN STAR SERVICE. It was my first time here and the kind young lady guided me through the entire menu. ( I got a shrimp plate... with 1 pupusa ) The shrimp here tasted so fresh and authentic I could tell it was great quality. It was my first time trying apupusa I went with bean and cheese and it was amazing. This is definitely the go-to spot anytime I'm around the area. Veryaffordable and yummy! Read more

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. We ordered some bean and cheese, chicken and bean, and revuelto pupusas. They were... not bad. The masa was tasty and the fillings were good. The curtido was just ok but was missing something, and the salsa wasbland. The wait was ridiculous. We spent almost 15 minutes at the counter ordering, even though we were the only ones orderingbecause I think the lady was new and didn't know how to input things. Once we'd paid, she said it would be a 45 minute wait forour food. We decided to drive around and come back later. We came back 50 minutes later and the lady said she'd need another 10minutes. It actually took another 22. So one hour and 12 minutes plus the 15 minutes it took to order. That's too long when itwasn't even that busy. The place wasn't full. There were about 50% of the tables open and we only ordered 5 pupusas. Weprobably wouldn't return unless we happened to be in the area. Read more

The server was very friendly. But the food could be better. The pupusas had no taste the salsa too watery, I also ordered a... chicken breast and it was too dry. I?m a Salvi and I left very disappointed on the food. I also ordered chilate with nuegadosand it comes with plaintain to go, the plantains we?re missing!! It was my first time going I will not go again. Read more

Pupusas may as well be a food group for me. They are so good, and El Pulgarcito makes some tasty ones! I got the loroco con... queso and frijol con queso. So so good! My husband got camaron and chorizo, he said they were great as well. Especially thecamaron. We both love curtido so we got extra and took some home. If you're trying to decide if you should make it a combo, DOIT!!! Probably some of the best rice and beans I've ever had. There was a bit of a wait to get the good, but I promise it'sworth it. Fresh made to order. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable about their dishes. They were incredibly kind when I had... to order to go because of a sick partner. The pupusas are fried perfectly -- the chicharron y queso is clearly a favorite here, but the Pollo y queso was great as well. We also tried the caldo de gallena and the caldo de res (came back the next day!) Andboth were fantastic. I love this pupuseria and I wish I lived in Cali so I could come more often! I'll be back whenever I cometo town, though! Read more
