I was amazing to have a burger that look just like the one on the advertisement. Also on point.
Short woman behind the counter was very rude and nasty... no customer skills, needs to be in the back flipping burgers if she... could reach the grill.. You have to enter ur own order at a terminal and pick up ur own food... and the teminal ask if u wantto leave a tip? What to myself? no waitresses... I miss the old steak and shake... definitely lost that personal touch... Read more
So happy that this is now a true fast food restaurant! I had stopped going for years because the service was so slow and I... always felt like I smelled like grease when I left. That has all changed with the self order kiosks and maybe they?ve upgradedthe ventilation. Who knows but I?ve been twice in a month! So happy because I love their fries! Read more
Oh boy how times have changed, and it's no different at Steak N Shake! Upon arrival and entrance into the establishment, my... guest and I were curtly greeted by an older lady that stated "we don't seat or serve you anymore, go to the kiosk behind you!"While trying to navigate our way through ordering on the kiosk, an older couple came in. The same 'lady', then in a much moregentle tone, told them the same thing...and then added in that "if people would hurry up with ordering...", which reallyincensed me. I wanted to ask her, "Your real purpose here is WHAT?", but I didn't and I kept any snarkiness to myself. After wefinished ordering, we then seated ourselves and waited for our number to be called. Once, after quite a wait (10+ minutes), ournumber was called and I retrieved our order from the counter and brought it to our table, we said grace and then began to eat.That's when I noticed that items that I had added onto my burger (and paid for additionally) weren't there. My guest then tookmy order to the counter, along with the receipt for proof of purchase. The order was corrected and with, yet again, a nastydemeanor, the older 'lady' then began to wander around the restaurant looking for whomever didn't have anything in front ofthem, and asked them if my order was their food. Needless to say, I will NOT EVER 'dine in' at this location ever again. Andafter my experiences with other Steak N Shake locations in the area, I probably will remove them from any future diningconsiderations. The services have left much to be desired and the food was barely warm once it was received (the cheese on myburger wasn't even melted). Save yourself time, money, energy, and effort and avoid this restaurant location. Read more
The restaurant itself is fine although a bit slow. The app however is terrible and unfortunately you can't pay with a gift card... in store anymore- they only have kiosks now no one to take your order. You self order at the kiosk and seat yourself, pick upyour food at the counter and even get your own drink. Bonus= no more tipping though. Fresh food but they need more help akapay better so you can hire more. ???? Read more
Blonde girl was very nice. Milkshake are amazing. Very slow in evening when busy. I get off work at 8iah pm and only work maybe... a mile or two away and whenever I come after work. It takes a long time to get through drive through I'm tired I'm dirty I'm hotI don't want to get out of my car there's only one window you pay and get your order at one window and it takes forever one carmoves up seems like they make the order they pay they give me order second car moves up it takes forever in the evening theyneed to come up with a bed or system maybe another window maybe someone outside taking orders and getting payments I'm not surebut drive through really needs to be a better process. Love the food love the shakes shakes are amazing but drive through reallyneeds to have a better process during the day I normally have no problem it's just in the evening when it's busy. Read more
Haven?t been in a long time so we popped in for a quick lunch and shakes. I was surprised when I realized they don?t wait on you... anymore. You order from a kiosks and it asks for a tip before you even get any service which I find odd. You do everythingbesides go in the back and cook your own food so not sure what the tip is for. I thought me buying food was paying their wagesbut I guess they don?t get paid enough to where it falls on the customer to pay their wages. I guess I?m getting old because Igrew up thinking you tipped people for waiting on you and getting anything you needed when you needed it, based on how well theydid determined the amount to be tipped. Not here. They want that tip before they even do anything at all. Weird. Food was goodthough. Maybe one day they?ll replace all the employees and it will just be a vending machine. Read more
