It's rare that I'll leave a review for a restaurant but after feasting at 4 Rivers, I felt compelled. I ordered the Signature... Angus Brisket with 3 sides. As I currently live in TX, I have some say in what a good brisket is like. This was by FAR thee bestbrisket I have ever had in my life. Brisket so tender you can cut it with a plastic fork. While the brisket was melting in mymouth, I Googled the story behind this place. "4 Rivers Smokehouse began with the launch of the ?Barbecue Ministry? in 2004,when John hosted a cookout fundraiser to support a local family whose young daughter was battling cancer. This one eventresulted in a passion for supporting local schools, churches, and charitable organizations, and a few years later, smokingthousands of pounds of meat out of a garage just wouldn?t cut it anymore. After trials, tribulations, and a whole lot of burntends, we finally flipped that ?Hot Brisket Now? sign on in October of 2009. Within the first hour, a line had formed out thedoor and then around the corner." The story behind this place is just as great as the food. Y'all who work here should feelhonored and proud of what you do, how you help the people and for what you serve. I will be back! Read more

Certainly hope the food is banging today because the personalities are about as exciting as a turtle race. ???????? Update:... Brisket was pretty ok this evening but I can?t believe they service this busted rib to a customer. The sides were not filled andsmaller than usual and were pretty dried up like they were old so they went in the trash. ???? Read more

Food was seasoned without any sauce. Seasoning is slightly sweet and good. Ribs and chicken are really good. Spicy , mustard... base, and traditional sweet sauces. Dessert section is second to none. Very fresh. Very soft and sweet pastries. Read more

The food is delicious. The place was clean, considering that it's a cafeteria style restaurant where you carry your own trays. ... We had so much food leftover that for the price it was a great value. Read more

Overall, I would give 3.5 Star. The place is open, clean and has a nice decor. The staffs are just doing thier job. Now, let's... talk about the food. We ordered 4 meats, 2 sides, 4 corn bread and a burns end melt. The meats definately have good smokeflavor. However, the ribs is dry and a little hard. My sons like the brisket and burns end melt. Good flavor and tender. Thesausages is as expected, nothing spectacular. As for the sides, a good portion of fries. Not too salty or overcooked. Cornbread is a little mushy for my taste. Sweetness is just right. The fries okra has too much breading and small sizes. Lastly, dissapointed with the limited number of bbq sauces to choose from and not very affordable. We spent over $75++ and we did notfeel we had a great meal. Is that a deal breaker? No. But, definately a plus if they add a few more bbq options and provide somediscount. Read more
