The variety of ice cream is amazing. I have personally tried about 11-12 of these flavours. I was never disappointed. Excellent... reliable ice cream you know what you're getting. Good size portion. Great outdoor seating, lots. Would be nice if they had anindoor options, which was closed.The only thing that I don?t like is that they take cash only. This place is a great reason to visit downtown Orangeville. Seriously, how do they offer this many flavours? The seating is also... amazing thanks to the many, many composite muskoka chairs. Some are even rockers. The only downside is that they don't havewashrooms. Read more
Great outdoor seating, lots. Would be nice if they had an indoor options, which was closed. They serve Kawartha's which is... great, but also why only 4-stars. While good (one of my faves), it's still the same Kawarthas as other places that serveKawarthas. If they did something of their own, a trademark dish or creation of their own, like doing ice cream sandwiches orother variations with the Kawarthas, then definitely a 5. I walk by this place to almost daily but never stopped by. But today the weather was nice and sunny and i just wanted an ice... cream so i stopped and was greeted by a lovely lady at the counter. They had a surprise milkshake on the menu. So I ordered thatand it was very yummy. They do have a lot of options, which i will try next time but the best part is the colorful chairs out onthe deck that you can sit at and enjoy the ice cream!! This is my second time coming to the Mill Creek Gardens. My family and I started doing this thing where we make a visit after... going to the Island Lakes. We come here for the Kawartha Dairy ice cream, and yes while you can get this ice cream at manygrocery stores now, it's nice that there are a variety of flavours that are available to choose from. Staff are incrediblykindnans friendly which just makes for an overall good experience. A small gripe that I had is that only cash is accepted. Itwould have been nice to see more contactless payment options given what's going on right now. What I did like though is thatthere is plenty of patio seating available which nice colourful chairs. There is also a hand washing station which is athoughtful addition. It's nice supporting local businesses especially during these challenging times. The horrible customer service at this place takes away completely from the amazing ambiance and decor. It has the potential to... be something great but the staff selling ice cream killed it. How can a person serving ice cream can be Rude and unwelcoming!Asked her if I can have a spoon with my waffle cone she said no, only if i order cup I can have a spoon. Seriously? You cantgive a few cents worth of plastic spoon if $14 order! Pathetic. There are millions of places to get ice creams, so please justavoid this place. Read more
