Albertsons I. Santa maria is pretty good. the check out line is usually fast because the store will quickly add cashier's if the... need arises. The one complaint I do have is with the Deli. They seem to have at least 12 different options for chicken (chickennuggets, chicken breast, friend chicken, chicken tenders, etc etc.) I wish they would consistently carry Santa maria style tritip. It's kinda hit and miss as to whether or not they have any prepared. Best to go before 600 if you want a chance to get someand then that's only onqyne 2 or three days out of the week Read more

Very large grocery store, well stocked with diverse brands for most products. Clean and well maintained, conveniently located in... and near residential area of town. Place in an appropriately sized neighborly mall with shops appropriate to a residential area Read more

I've been going to this Albertsons for about 21 years. I've always been impressed with Albertsons but frankly the past 5 years I... have seen a decline in what this store has to offer. This is something I noticed prior to COVID so I don't feel these changesare the result of COVID. Since Vons has taken over Albertsons in general I've seen this gradual decline. I'm not happy with thechoices Vons decides to put in its Albertsons stores for food selection I've also noticed the fruit and vegetables are of lowerquality and selection. The workers have always been friendly, but I don't feel this store is managed well. Oftentimes I go inand there are long lines, which tells me there are staffing issues. In the evenings they shut down the self-serve check outregisters which add to the long lines. They've reconfigured their parking lot assigning parking spaces grocery pickup orders.Parking is tight and difficult to find a spot oftentimes I feel this is poor planning. Aesthetically speaking, They removed thefloors which are now concrete and ugly and rearranged the food aisles. After 20 years of shopping at this store I found it'sbetter to drive to Trader Joe's and Aldi's because this Albertsons ( and Vons in general) have higher prices for most groceryitems. Read more

What is going on with produce? No onions at all, late afternoon yesterday empty shelves, a few sad looking cabbages and loose... carrots all snipped at the bottom. I asked someone why they do that and was told he was taught to do it that way. I pointed outthat cutting into product unnecessarily affects it's freshness, PLUS makes it look like the store wanted to remove evidence of aless-than-quality product. Don't mess with the produce!! Today I went back for cabbage, below photo is what they stockedovernight. Every. Single. One. is limp, curled, soft, old. Every one. And charging 99 cents per pound for product thatclearly is at the end of it's use by date, if not past it. Seriously? I would not touch that for 50 cents a pound. Seriouslybummed. I've relied on Albies for produce; it's close and convenient. But today I wasted my time going there. Is your store,(like apparently every other business these days), no longer taking any pride or care in what you offer your customers? I knowthere are people who don't mind less fresh food, but only if it's discounted appropriately. But I also know EVERYBODY wouldprefer to be able to rely on quality, fresh produce. Read more
