I am a semi-regular customer of this location and I do really like their dishes, I've had a couple interesting visits where the... servers were a little standoffish and disappeared completely as soon as the food appears. HOWEVER that would never stop me fromdropping by for their lunch special. It is great food with good vegetarian options. Read more

Great lunch special. You get a good variety of food and enough food for left overs. Really yummy. Very friendly service. My... only complaint was that it was too cold inside, I was freezing. Read more

I remember the good old time of Kohinoor. It used to be my go to Indian for couple of years. We used to go at least twice a... week. Last couple of times foods was not as good and not worth the price. Maybe because it was through doordash. I might stillgive another shot as dine in and hopefully it will return to its former goodness. Read more

Really really poor portion sizes for the price they charge. I am an Indian myself and have had Indian food in many other places... in the state of UT, been here 6 years now, nowhere do they serve as small portions as here. Prices are comparable to otherplaces but portions are at the very least half of what other places usually give. Don't think many people are aware of this facthere and that's why they have been able to get away like this. Needs to improve portions asap. Other complaints are at par withother Indian restaurants here. Read more

First time having Indian food and it was so good. My husband had the chicken curry with medium heat and I had mild mushroom... lamb. We also had some kebabs and Naan bread as well as their fried onions. Great service and great food. Will probably returnto try something new! Read more

Pro?s - good location, decent customer service and nice ambiance with good seating arrangements. Cons - we ordered paneer... masala and navratna korma which came with rice. Paneer masala was really tangy, navratna korma had a weird taste. The rice didtaste okay. Overall the food wasn?t upto the mark. Surely need some taste assistance in the kitchen. Read more

Kohinoor serves the best indian food in Utah County, and maybe even all of Utah. Sorry, the pictures aren't awesome, but hey,... this is Google Reviews, not Instagram, lol. We got Butter Chicken, Malai Kofta, naan, and cheese naan. The Malai Kofta (veggieballs that are deep fried and then cooked in an excellent creamy sauce) was phenomenal, and obviously Butter Chicken is alwaysgreat. Highly recommend! Excellent service. We called in and got takeout (because of COVID-19, they are not currently doingdine-in, which is good), and the whole process was smooth. UPDATE: They also have a fantastic lunch special! Highly recommend. Read more

Decided to try a new Indian restaurant tonight. I went to try Kohinoor in Orem. It was busy so that was a good sign. Since it... was packed, I justed wanted to do a to go order. But my first red flag should have been what the waiter said. I asked for a typeof naan and he said that was too hard of a dish for the chef to make. What?!?!? Then why is it on the menu. The next thing hesaid really bug me and he said, oh, the chef is too busy to make that. Seriously?!?!? But hey, I want to at least try somethingto review tonight so I didn't want to venture too far from the familiar. I ordered the Kohinoor Mix Kabob. It was the biggestchunks of chicken not in a kabob style at all. The "lamb" you can see shriveled up on the left which looked like some sort ofground lamb sausage instead of a cubed piece of meat. The chicken tandoori and chicken tikka could have been cut in quartersfrom the pieces that I got. The shrimp was good and the chicken was a bit dry. The chicken tikka masala, well, I asked for veryhot. Compared to India Palace's spice level it would be a 5 or mild there. Also why was it so sweet? The chicken in this wascompletely dried out. The sauce helped a bit, but a chunk of dried chicken instantly kills the palette. I was verydisappointed, but I don't waste food, so I have some disappointing leftovers for tomorrow. Would I come back? Probably not, maybe I'll give them 6-8 months to get things in order and hopefully the chef knows how to cook everything by then. The garlicnaan is alright. Barely any garlic flavor to it at all. The rice they gave me enough to feed a few people. Good thing rice is mystaple. At least they got the rice right. #thisishowichow @kohinoor_orem Read more
