Reviews for Taco Amigo in Orem, UT

By far the worst ?Mexican? food place in Utah. Coming from a Mexican this is not Mexican food. Everything had no flavor. I?m... convinced their reviews are paid for. This should be max a 2 star place. I?m really disgusted by everything I bought there.Their tacos bland, their burger is literally a Big Mac. Their hot sauce? Tomato sauce. You guys should be ashamed for callingthis a Mexican restaurant. Go to Don Joaquin?s in Provo or Lindon and you?ll have yourself a tens fold better experience there.Your taste buds will thank you for skipping this place. Read more

This place is one of my home town faves. I wish/hope they?ll put a location further north. Funny enough, I?ve never had their... Mexican food. I go their for their hamburgers and fries. They have this unique/generic type of fry, that is just soooodelicious. I think it?s a love or ?meh? situation with Taco Amigo. Some of my friends see them as ?meh?. But, they are one of myall time fave places to eat. Read more

Most people pass through life in an obscure haze and miss some of the most enjoyable things of life. Taco Amigo has a little... spark of joy that can lift anyones day. In spring and early summer they offer strawberry shakes that are not rivaled by anyother restaurant. In late summer early fall they drop a flavor nuke with their peach shake. It?s enough to give anyone thesatisfaction that can rarely be found even in the bedroom! Don?t miss out on these delicious treats! Read more

The big amigo is what I ordered with tacos n fries it was like a big Mac from McDonald's mixed with a double dell from del taco.... I enjoyed it. The sauce on the burger was decent. The food was Fresh. My only complaint is that the taco beef taste bland andalways does, it makes me think where is the seasoning. The shell is decent. Read more

Always such an American way to enjoy Mexican food at the cheaper end of the spectrum! Their seasonal strawberry & then peach... shakes are fantastic albeit expensive for not a huge portion... They are hand picked fruits from orchards in town then processedin store! Been a staple in my family that's believed to cure the flu! Lol doesn't really but it's that good my team memberswould say! Alright, so I walked in with higher expectations, and that rarely ends well. Tried a cheeseburger - most meh cheeseburger I've... ever had, mildly better than McDonald's value burger, nowhere near JCWs or Five Guys value. Fries were good, I definitelydoctored the fry sauce with more ketchup, and then put that on the burger in the hopes of gleaning just a Bit more flavor (tocompensate for the lack of). In all fairness, I hear people love the shakes, they don't have dairy-free options, so I had topass. ???? Probs won't come again, which is too bad, cause I like the vibe, and the total $$ fits my budget nicely. ???? Pricewas low... But maybe not worth the tummyache I'll get later. If I did come back, I'd try some of the tex-mex food, burrito orenchiladas. ??????????? Read more

Food was decent, but not as flavorful as I would have expected given the rave reviews I was given. What was great was the fresh... strawberry shake. Absolutely fantastic. I almost got a second one. Looking forward to peach season. Read more

Strawberry Shake was excellent! Seriously a great shake. The burrito I got on the other hand left something to be desired. I... don't recall which it was but it was one of the more basic ones without meat. Only real issue was the tortilla probably shouldhave been cooked longer; it tasted sort of doughy. My friend who also got a shake and burrito had the same experience. Again, shakes = fantastic. Read more
