Located inside of Contemporary hotel. Make reservations in advance or try your luck at last minute walk ups because this is a... popular character dining experience. I have returned to Chef Mickey's time and time again because it is my #1 favorite place onDisney property. I've been coming here for years to celebrate my birthday and to tag along with friends or family onvacation. This is a perfect spot to have some one on one time with each of your favorite characters including Mickey, Minnie,Pluto and Goofy. They come directly to your table for photographs. Breakfast is my favorite here, but dinner is amazing aswell. Plant-based options are there for Vegetarians and Vegan, as well as Gluten Free. Be sure to ask for the Chef though. I'vemade the mistake of not asking for a Chef way too many times at Disney locations and things go very wrong when you don't. ChefDon (who I understand has since moved to a different location) and Savage (I hope I got that right) are incredible! Aaron (Chefin training) and Will (Food and Beverage manager) are also amazing. This used to be buffet style, but has since changed tofamily style at the table. I personally prefer it this way. Be aware that the photos and information in this review is a sum ofmany visits so menu items could have changed. Read more

Food right now is still family-style and hasn't gone back to a buffet yet. Food was great, honestly tasted better than when it... was a buffet- but I do miss the selection (I'm a selective eater myself, texture issues) but my husband eats almosteverything. Our server was great even at one of the last reservations of the night. We had a great experience with thecharacters. We always go at the end of the night, we see them more and get more time and fun with them. This experience Donalddefinitely stole the show. He kept popping up behind us and when he was finished for the night, burst open the kitchen doors andwaddled his butt at us. Read more

The character dining experience was 5 stars. Server was very friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed Mickey and friends... characters coming by throughout dinner to interact, entertain, and stand by our table for photos. That was the best part! Foodwas 3.5 to 4 stars. It's family style buffet. Server brings three bowls of various salads, then entree on platters and bowls. The veggie and potato sides were tasty. Meats and salmon were a little under seasoned and dry, probably because it's beensitting under a warmer before served rather than cooked in the kitchen. The nice thing is the servers bring out an assortment ofkid friendly foods on a kids plate (Mac and cheese, tater tots, steamed broccoli, chicken nuggets) so if your little one ispicky, they can just eat what's on the kids plate. Overall very fun first time experience for our family and would definitelyrecommend and eat there for the experience again! Read more

Reservations are HIGHLY recommended DAYS in advance. Good place to bring family for character dining. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and... Daisy were available for photos at the Riviera Resort, The Contemporary Resort included the big 4 plus Goofy and Pluto. ChefMickey at the Contemporary Resort is more casual family styled dining where you can get as much of the food as you want. ChefMickey at the Riviera is more upscale where you can order a main entree and a second entree as a side meal. Both are very gooddepending on your preference. Adults are $43/pp and $27/pp for 9 yo and under. All non alcoholic drinks are included with yourmeal. Perfect place to start your day with Mickey before heading into the parks. You won't be hungry until dinner! Read more

Chef Mickey?s is a must do memorable experience in Disney. At no other restaurant do you feel so part of the Magic. All the... Disney characters including Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Minnie, and Goofy come table to table to take pictures, play little gameswith kids, and interact in so many friendly ways. The characters are really generous and inviting for the kids. The food itselfis excellent and includes family style buffet food brought to your table. They bring over gnocchi, rice, potatoes, pork, bread, salad, rice, steak, vegetables, deserts, and more. The service is also excellent and the staff is very upbeat and friendly.Though the prices are very expensive, there?s no topping this at Disney. Chef Mickey has everything you could possibly ask forat a Disney restaurant whether you?re 5 or 95 and I give this restaurant my full recommendation. Read more

Absolutely amazing. Sharing a dining experience with the Disney stars, and them coming together to "sing" happy birthday to my 4... year old was amazing. I understand now why it was so hard to book and I'd definitely love to dine here again! Read more

What a magical place! We had a party of 4 (3 adults and a 15 y..o boy) We made reservations 8 days in advance, did online check... in when we arrived to the hotel and hanged out in the Disney stores (in the hotel) for a bit, when table was ready, we receiveda text message. Food was good (keep in mind the cost $$$ is more for the characters experience than for the food. We payed $250may2022). We could hugged and took photos with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, goofy and Pluto! It was heaven for me! Server was niceand fun. When we finished the dinner we walked to the bridge of the hotel and watched the Magic kingdom fire works! What awonderful experience and wonderful night! For sure I will come back. 100% recommended Read more
