Heartbreaking. My biggest excitement about my recent Orlando trip was being able to visit one of my favorite all time... restaurants where I discovered my love for crab legs. I was shocked when they closed their Ft. Lauderdale locations years agoand have been to many different crab restaurant’s since, developing a true passion and appreciation for great quality crablegs from MANY trial and error experiences, but that’s how it is when you’re a crab leg hunter like myself. Crab legs are atrue delicacy that are either going to be on the money or NOT. There’s a fair amount of grey area where they can still be goodenough to eat but when you consider the prices of eating crab, which are never low costing, you really shouldn’t be having toeat them in a grey or bad level of quality. For what you’ll be paying for these types of dinners, all I can say is that itbetter be worth the money because otherwise you’ll be looking at a very expensive disappointment and who wants to end up likethat, right? Well, unfortunately this time around, it was my turn to strike out. Very surprised by how disappointing myexperience was. I ordered the king crab legs with 1/2 lb. Shrimp and let’s start with the shrimp that was so bad I couldn’teven eat it, and I really like shrimp a lot. So if I couldn’t make myself eat it, then yea there was something very no buenogoing on. Now to the legs, first bite from the knuckle was pretty decent but from there once I started getting into the legs itwas going downhill into that grey zone that you’re hoping to avoid. It was edible, so-so, but definitely not good enough toget that wonderful crab experience that your excited about when you know your going for crab legs and I hate to sound too harshbut there sauce flavors that the legs were in was a complete flatline, no flavor whatsoever. Wonderful service here. Our waiter was training a new employee and our service was great. The food came out in a timely manner... especially for a Saturday I would reccomend this location. The fried pickles are delicious and the ranch is amazing Read more
Go see Keith - he really hustled to cover our table when our original waitress disappeared- crab was great - my drink was weak... but tasty. We really loved the s’mores dessert! Fun atmosphere- would come again !! Read more
It was our first time there last night and since we love seafood were super excited. Unfortunately our waitress was so busy that... we had to flag down other staff to get utensils to crack our crab after waiting for our waitress to come 15 minutes after theguy from back had already delivered our food. we were never offered refills on drinks, or offered butter dip or sauces for ourdishes. The only time she spoke to us was in passing to the other big table she was waiting on when we flagged her down. Iunderstand that the other table was a difficult table but we deserved good service as well with only 3 people in our party and Istill tipped 20% for not getting good service. A check which we had to sit and wait for another 20 minutes after finish to evensee our waitress long enough to tell her we needed our check. They probably wouldn't have noticed if we walked out on the check.Very dissapointing. Gave 2 stars since the hostess was super nice at check in and the food was decent but not very flavorful. We showed up with 16 people and were seated right way at the same table. The night went well and the service was great. I think... that we stressed him out a little but he managed us like a pro. Read more
The meal was decent, service was good, removed 1 star for cleanliness. While not overly dirty, the booth had signs of previous... meals splattered on the wall of the booth. There are not many of these restaurants around anymore, so we decided to try it out.Overall it was a decent meal for the price. Read more
What a nice place they have . The last time at a Joe's Crab Shack was Daytona . Both very nice . The waiter named was Allen ! We... have been in Florida for two weeks now on Vacation and I think he has been the best waiter yet ! Thanks Allen you need a raise !The food was fantastic. We had a lot higher hopes. Been awhile since we visited a Joe's. Food was fast and hot. But that was it... zero taste. No... seasoning. Cole slaw was warm and tasted funny. (I didn't trust it!!) The lobster bisque soup was the consistency of mud. Andhad a nasty taste to it!!!! Not going to be returning. And would not recommend. Calamari was meh... at best. Who friescarrots??? Wth?? Read more
