My first time trying this place, but treated my friend for her birthday dinner. We chose the Magical Dining special. Food was... very bland and did not seem fresh. My whipped potatoes had a crust on the outside like they were reheated on the plate. Thechicken cordon blue was taste less. I'd have been happier with a frozen Barber version. My friend had the filet tips which weredescribed as "like beef stew" by the server. The carrots were good, but the beef had the texture of canned dog food. Ourserver did a good job but the food was huge disappointment. My friend mentioned it tasted like it was out of a can and theserver apologized. Huge waste of $100! Read more

My 1st experience. I have traveled past the restaurant for years. The experience & food was okay. I had the vegetarian option... and it was a bit different (prep, plating & presentation). The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Staff was pleasant. Thewaiter reminded us that if we wanted souffle to order it upfront so that it won't be as long of a wait. We felt like the priceof what we had was a bit exorbitant for the food and drinks. Souffle was tasty. Read more

Went to Le Coq Au Vin restaurant the Magical Dining Event for the $40 3 course meal. I had the seafood crepe as a appetizer... and it had delicious seafood in the crepe. I had the golden tile fish for the entrée. It was very tender, moist and had a goodlemon flavor sauce in the plate served with carrots and mashed potatoes. A very good fish meal. For desert I added the extra $10for the grand marnier soufflé. It was well worth it. Iwas so good! Light , airy, smooth texture with a great taste. Le Coq AuVin is a well known, prize winning fine dining French restaurant in a simple unassuming building on Orange Ave. Check itout. By the way Le Coq Au Vin roughly means a chicken stew in wine sauce in English. Read more

After a few great experiences in the 90’s I had high expectations for our return visit the first weekend of magical dining. I... chose the filet with blue cheese crust off the regular menu and it couldn’t have been more than a 4-ounce piece of steak. For$50. The taste was okay at best, admittedly diminished by what I was paying for it. Other members of our group got beef burgundyand the fish from the magical dining menu, and the consensus was that they were decent, but not worth the price. My expectationswith service include keeping the drinks from sitting empty and clearing plates soon after finishing my food. Sadly, neither ofthese happened. A couple in our party had their entree plates sitting in front of them for at least 20 minutes after finishing. For dessert, my wife got the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Dry and unimpressive. I ended up sharing my lava cake with her, which was easily the best thing off the menu. Overall, this experience was a massive disappointment. This place used to be oneof the best in town, and it seems their best days are behind them. Read more
