Extremely disappointing experience and will never return. Food took more than an hour and we were given one excuse after another... -- from saying there were too many tickets in the kitchen, to a language barrier among staff, to new management...the list goeson and on. We finally decided to take our food to go and this is how it looked when I opened the boxes. It was evident the foodwas thrown together at the last minute and without attention to detail. I do not recommend this restaurant and will be taking myprecious time and money elsewhere from now on. Read more

Although not a five star Restaurant, it is an Astonishing Diner worth a 5 star salute! My wife and I eaten at Sweet Mama's... several times and will definitely return. We are treated with respect, courtesy and special attention to kindness. The meals areprice low, with a giant variety of selections. We feel safe at this restaurant and we like it because there is something foreverybody in our family. Not too expensive, fast service and great food. We tip how we feel our service and is, we've givenplenty of 30 and 40% tips, a couple times 50%, because the value, food and service is that good. ....and the staff are goodlooking too. Read more

Despite our negative review today this location will and should remain popular because it is the only Berkeley-type breakfast... and lunch eatery in east Orlando and young people were very happy to linger here today (Thursday, 11:30 am). My husband was ashort order cook for one of the best diners in La Habra, CA, and he praised the bacon here. But he said his pancake today andhash browns had sat under a warmer or on the back of the grill. Tough, gummy pancake. He wouldn’t eat the hash browns. Mytoast was gummy (see photo). Whoever cut it smashed the knife straight down through two slices of under-toasted bread so it was1/4” thick at the sliced part. Home fries had no seasoning and we weren’t sure if they were deep fried or baked. My eggwhite omelet was okay, but I’ve had better at Bob Evans and even Dennys (see photo). It could’ve used a side of pico degallo or something. My server (blue-dyed hair) was the best of the bunch. She brought life to the place with her warm greetingsand goodbyes. The two younger servers were expressionless, maybe stressed out. My server heard me say no butter, no potatoes, swap in grits please, because she said, “That’s too healthy for me.” But the younger servers brought me buttered toast andbreakfast potatoes. They corrected my order and brought me grits. With tip we paid over $40 for breakfast and I don’t thinkit was worth the price. Everyone had a long wait time at the tables and booths. The couple behind us complained because theirfood took forever to come. Music was loud 80s hits, like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, “Don’t Stop Believing,”“Another One Bites the Dust.” Counter service was fast! Two sets of college age kids walked in after us, got eggs Benedictand other items quickly and left quickly. Maybe they should stop serving breakfast all day and focus on their lunch menu after11:00 or maybe today was an off day. Our favorite breakfast place so far in the area is The Cup. Read more

Excellent! Was just me for bfast, seated within minutes. I got a big booth. Had the hash, cheddar, onion omelette (hot and... fast delivery) Coffee (which was piping hot in a giant mug) - the staff runs around efficiently, and there are plenty ofthem…. They are fast and friendly! Sweet Mamma’s is tucked away in a little shopping center, my dentist is here as well. If you are in the Nona area this is a lovely place for bfast! Have a visit! ???????????? Read more

Large portions great flavor nice people. They have a lot of cure little things to look at. I found something that brought back... childhood memories of sitting at the kitchen counter with my sister pouring milk out of the ceramic cow that they so happened tohave a very similar one onto our cereal every single morning I had to snap a picture and sent it to her and she was equally asenthusiastic I found something so similar to what we had growing up. They actually found it in the back of our cabinets thisweek so it was perfect! Thanks for the wonderful experience. Read more

We came here on a whim and I'm certainly glad we did. The atmosphere was what I want in a down home breakfast spot. All of the... staff were welcoming and very friendly! The food was great and the wife and I were sharing an entrée and without asking thekitchen halved the meal for us on separate plates. Doesn't get any better than that! Lots of options and you won't bedisappointed if you are looking for a good home cooked meal away from home. Can't wait for our next visit. Read more

We on vacation and we saw the name and knew we had to give it a try. Very quaint family spot with friendly staff. The restroom... was clean and the restaurant was also clean. We looked at a few plates as we waited for our food and it all lookeddelicious. The food was really tasty, however the home fries was a little dry. My husband got his home fries sautéed orgrilled and they were delicious and moist. The artichoke omelet was very delicious. It was 6 of us and everyone enjoyed theirselected dish. I would definitely say its a spot worth going to. They even have outdoor seating. Read more
