The onion soup is sold in the menu as French Onion soup. It was not a traditional French Onion soup. Onions were coarse and not... caramelized, giving a pungent punch to the soup. Chopped liver was ok. I?ve had better ones at different shuls after Shabbatservice. It only gets 3 stars because Alex?s attention was excellent and the artisan rye bread was good. The hostess that sat us looked like she was having a bad day, she didn?t really greet us. But besides that, the food was great.... The burger, the patty itself lacked a little bit of seasoning but it was doable. Onion rings 100/10, extra crispy and superdelicious. Read more

A delightful place to dine in the middle of the Colonial Plaza shopping area. I appreciate the atmosphere, the quality of the... food, comfortable dining space, and friendly and helpful staff. I especially like that of all the menu items there?s nothing Iwould think of as just an afterthought. Toojays is a great restaurant for specific products. Not everything on the menu is given much energy and focus. For example, I... ordered the shepherd's pie, twice, and realized that the truth is... They don't make it well. it's an accessory item on themenu. it was stale, microwaved and not tasty. but on the other hand... I ordered the liver plate, it was absolutely delicious,fresh, tasty, hot, and worthy of 5 stars. If you're visiting this place for a first time, ask the server what is popular or whatthey recommend.
