It began on the phone with the surly, rude person taking our order - incorrectly I might add. It went downhill when she hung up... on me because I asked her to repeat the wait time because I didn't understand. And then there was the second time she hung up onme when I called back to clarify. It continued when I arrived to pick up and I was chastised and had my check thrown at mebecause the person was frustrated that she couldn't find my order. It of course was my fault. It spun out of control when Iinformed her I was not tipping my customary 20% for takeout due to the poor service. That's when the yelling and shouting began,being told to leave and not come back. I informed her and another employee that their behavior warranted a review. She screamedat me on my way out the door "I don't care", which I suspect is true, she really didn't care. And BTW, my order was incorrectand the food was worse than mediocre. The fresh rolls were a mess, all broken up and bursting out of their wrapper. The meals,two completely different dishes, were identical in flavor, used the same tasteless sauce, and they forgot our rice order inspite of charging us for 2. So if you are looking to be abused with the reward of mediocre food that you did not order, thiswould be the perfect place. Read more
A lot of vegan and vegetarians options. Food is flavorful and not too spicy. Red, green and massaman curries were good. The... curries don?t come with a side of rice so make sure to order one if needed! Read more
The wait was a little longer than expected I suppose many restaurants are experiencing low staff during the pandemic recovery.... Yet, every minutes we waited was WELL worth it! This is the BEST Thai food we have eaten. We are from NJ and visiting Cape Codfor our Anniversary. This place is a MUST visit if you truly live Thai food! We ordered three entrees and 2 appetizers to go for dinner, and we were told the wait was 1 hour. We expected this, so we were... okay with it. We arrived after an hour and were told it wasn?t ready. We waited by the bar for ANOTHER HOUR before our order wasfinally ready. To add insult to injury they did not offer a courtesy discount and told us they didn?t have the phone number forthe owner/manager. If we had been given an honest wait time we would have ordered from another restaurant. The only reason thisplace even gets one star is because the quality of the food is excellent. Read more
Our third time eating here and the food is still top notch. It's always a relaxing atmosphere with lots of plants throughout the... dining area, never too crowded, and quiet patrons. We were initially worried that service would be slow but it was actuallynicely paced and we didn't wait very long for the food. Both wait staff were always attentive and friendly. The food isincredibly well flavored. Thankfully nothing we ordered was unexpectedly hot spicy. Can't recommend this place enough. Read more
Hello you Thai food lovers out there. One star for Bangkok Thai is being generous. This has to win the prize for the worst Thai... food I've ever had and I have eating at Thai restaurants all over the country. The only thing worse than the food was the nastyattitude when I asked for coconut milk in my red Thai curry. The owner is the one who waited on me. Then the owner's wife is theone who came back to the table. She took my plate back in a huff and brought it back and practically slammed it on the tablesaying in her broken English in an angry tone I do it for you this time but not ever again. Believe me she doesn't have to worryabout that no brainer I won't be back. . The serving of rice that they charge extra for and do not include with the meals was avery small serving. The beautiful decor and convenient location inside the decor is is not enough to bring me back there butif you're feeling like Asian food I heard there was a good Chinese restaurant in the area. I highly do not recommend BangkokThai Restaurant. They do not stand behind their food their recipes and they are rude to customers if you ask for anything extra.I don't think these owners will last and hopefully if somebody buys them out they can make better food.
