Came to the Open Stage Wednesday. We've been here about 5 times in the past couple of months. What has been constant? The good... food, the excellent service with a smile, the live music. First time for me going here and it was great service, great food. Sat on the patio so it was really nice. I had a rice bowl and... my friends had the fish tacos. There was a lot of sauce on the fish tacos and they said the fish seemed a little dry, but theywere ok. My rice bowl was fantastic, perfect flavor and spice. A clean and spacious place with beer on tap and other drinks. They have live music on Saturdays. A good band played there last... night April 24. Most people weren't wearing a mask anymore. Pub food. Maybe because the band played 80's music the place wasfilled with an over 40s crowd who liked to dance, even though there isnt much place for it. Nice people. Read more
Loved the salmon maple dish, the Rustica and every dish I tried actually. I'm there every week Always satisfied Especially... yesterday, when the restaurant was not that crowded, the chef made miracles. Loved every detail on my dish. One of myfavorite restaurants in Ottawa. Read more
Good service and nice spacing between patrons. COVID protocols were followed. Drinks knowledge by the server was fantastic. My... party of 4 found that all of our 4 dishes were "dry". They had lots of flavour but the actual dish did not have any sauce ormoisture in it. The hamburgers were dry, the rice bowl lacked sufficient sauce as did the chicken curry roti. Read more
I’ve been here a few times while in town for work. The servers are great… that’s where the positive ends. The food has... always been disappointing and overpriced. My last visit was build your own burger and soup of the day. The soup was burned, theburger dry, overcooked. I asked for no bun, came on a bun (not a dealbreaker for me but for someone who is celiac, it could be).I paid $3 for two small pieces bacon and $2 for the what must have been the last of the blue cheese blue cheese. I mentioned theissues to my server, she apologized and asked if she could get me something else. I declined and ask for the bill with just mybeer on it, which she did.
