We're traveling across country in our RV and stayingbat Catalina State Park. We wanted pizza and found Charred was basically... across the street from the park. We had made a reservation online (but didn't think we'd need it) and thank goodness we did.This place was packed at 5:30. We were promptly seated. Our server Kayla was prompt, friendly and cute as button. We ordered theBrussel Sprout + Romain Cesar Salad and the Caprese Salad. Not only were they delicious but they were HUGE and could have easilybeen shared. We also ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs and a Margherita Pizza. They were both delicious as well. Upon arriving on Wednesday evening we were asked if we had reservations and it wasn't crowded, I thought it a little odd. But... our first time there, so maybe they are used to reservations. We ordered the Korean wings (I forgot to take a pic), very good!Had nice crisp charred edges and great flavor. We ordered the salad that had fruit and added chicken. The chicken made thesalad! A little dry, but flavorful! We ordered the fungi pizza and added sausage. It was good, but not outstanding. The lemonadewas good and the Beck's non-alcoholic beer was ok (preference of Heineken, Beck's is obviously cheaper but the only option theycarried). I'd go back, but not somewhere I'd send people. Our hostess (I'm guessing she was new), came when we were 3/4's doneand asked if she could clear any plates (all the plates had food). We said no, and she waited staring at us and said are yousure? My sister was in from out of town, we had just taken in a movie, and we were wanting a small bite to eat before she began her... trek home. Charred Pie is located adjacent to the theater, it sounded good, so we thought we would give it a try. Neither oneof us had heard of it before. (She being from out of town and I had just moved here from North Carolina.) The menu lookedamazing with choices of white or red pizzas, buttered noodles, wings, salads and more! I was looking at the people's food whowere seated at the table next to us and wow, it looked so good! My sister and I both ordered the lunch special which was apersonal size pizza, pepperoni or margherita, and a salad. (We had eaten popcorn at the theater so our appetites weren't asvoracious as they normally would have been!) When we first arrived we were immediately greated, which is a plus in my book. Wewere also seated in a reasonable amount of time considering the time of day. Our server was very friendly and prompt to meetour needs. Our food order came out in a very reasonable amount of time as well. My sister opted for the pepperoni pizza while Iwent with the margherita. We were both very pleased with our meals even though we had to ask for to go boxes - the result of toomuch previously consumed popcorn ????!!! I would say check out their menu. They have many interesting choices! And if you areadventurous, I noticed a couple items on the menu that I need to go back to try - wood fired oysters, bloody Mary grilledcheese, fungi pizza, and couch potato pizza! Happy eating ???? This place sucked. Sorry, not sorry. The waitstaff is unattentive and treated us as though we were an inconvenience. The pie was... even more disappointing. Flavorless. The pizza crust is like cardboard. We had the Hawaiian and the White Pizza with shrimpadded. There were 4 shrimp on the pizza and they were no where close to jumbo. We also had the bread dip thing. The ricotta withfig was ok. Too bad because, on paper, the menu looked like it had potential. Read more
One of our all time favorite pizza places! So. Good. Do not skip the Woodfire Bread, it is amazing!
Definitely one of my favorites in Oro Valley. The meatball appetizer is a meal in itself! Definitely suggest you try it. The... lemon chicken pasta is also good. But the pizza is where it's at Read more
I usually don't care for artisan pizza joints, but this one earns 5 stars. The house salad, sausage & fennel pizza, and the... wings were outstanding! Wings were baked to crispiness on the outside, tender inside, and wonderfully seasoned. These are thebest wing I have ever enjoyed! Read more
1st time dining there. Ordered the Korean wings!! Delicious, sweet, and spicy pair well with ranch!!! Also , ordered the... Caprese salad and coffee. Excellent service from the young host to my server Ben !!! Very nice restaurant and beautiful festivedecorations!! Read more
