What a cool and fun place to eat. Vacationing and was told by friends we had to eat at Pat?s Pizza: Family owned and operated... since 1931! The place was packed. Bruce, the son of the founders, was working (cleaning and bussing tables) along with his wife,daughter, nephew and who knows what other family members. It says a lot when the owner is out bussing tables. I think he said hewas six when his parents opened the original restaurant there in Orono ME. Still there in the same location but now there are 15additional locations. Amazing. Living history. Oh, and the pizza? Fantastic. I ordered a 9? pepperoni and jalapeño pizza, mywife ordered a 9? tomato and roasted red pepper, and our traveling friends a 9? ?Loaded? pizza. All were delicious. We alsoordered fried pickles and cheese sticks for apps and they did not disappoint either. Prices were super reasonable and that madethe experience all the more better. The best pizza I've ever eaten! I went there with my family for years and years. Moved in 2006 but...Everytime I go back to... Maine for vacation I go at least 2-3 times in a week. I've tried every other Pat's which are good but Orono is the Best!! I'llbe going there this week. I can't wait! Read more
This is a local institution and everyone in the Old Town / Orono has grown up eating Pats. The pizza is not the most amazing... artisan wood fired pizza but a good thin-crusted pizza. The ambience though is what has always sold me in Pat's. When thedownstairs taproom is open with the wood fire going there are few better places to have a pint in the winter. Read more

This place is the best pizza ever. They have followed the same standards since my grandfather was a young man. All Orono High... School Reunions have their first night together at Pats. I love this pizzeria! Everyone was welcoming and everything was super good. The wings was crispy and tasty no dipping sauce... needed! The hand cut crispy fries was just perfect. Pizza was delicious! Must try Pat?s sodas! I had to buy some to take home.And let?s not forget our waitress Kathy she was super attentive and nice! Next time I?m in town I will def be coming back! Read more
Pat's Pizza in Orono, over cooks their pizza to the point it is crispy burnt looking, even after you mentioned it to them during... the time, they are taking your order. Honestly, the only reason my husband and I order pizza from here is for my mom who livesin Orono Commons assisted living and nursing home and it's the nearest pizza place. If Pat's Pizza in Hamden wasn't so far awayand if the pizza wouldn't be cold by the time it reaches my mom's. We would order from them!!! THE BEST PIZZA EVER!
