I'm torn on this one, their salad bar is really good but the menu items are mediocre. I've been there several times for lunch,... usually getting a sandwich with the soup n salad bar. The service is friendly and the prices reasonable compared to otherplaces. Read more

First time here, didnt know what to expect. Salad bar fresh and tasty. Alot of choices. Homemade bread, awesome. Did not try... soups. Also had grilled chicken with marinara sauce with Green beans. Server was very attentive. Prices fair. Apparently beenhere since 1969. The building dated but clean. Will stop again! Read more

Really good food. Yes, the decor is historic but what we had was really quite good and the property is well kept up. I see from... earlier reviews that the clientele was a bit on the older side. During our visit it is actually a big cross-section of ages. Thelot was full and the staff here takes good care of you. Read more

This was a very nice homey place. I got the mushroom steak with baked potato and Cole slaw. Had more than enough to satisfy... anyone. A nice big chopped steak an potato also some of the best Cole slaw I've had in a long time. Had to take my coconutcream pie for later....which was good too. My waitress Rachel was great. Read more

"The food isn't quite as stale as the decor" was my response to the question "How was everything", but the girl taking my... payment didn't get it. The exterior of the building is very misleading. It's well taken care of, the plants are pretty, and thesiding looks newer. Inside...it has the same decor as it did when it opened in 1969. We went because we were at anotherbusiness in Orville and someone said that this place and the "Amish place" had a salad bar...we should have gone to the "Amishplace" instead. We should of walked right back out when we saw the decor, and that the average age of the clientele was nearlydead. There are old menus badly framed on the wall going to the restroom and it looks like nothing much has changed in over 50years. We had to pick through the lettuce to find some that wasn't turning brown. The boast of "over 60 toppings" had attractedus...but there were nothing special about any of them. Most were prepackaged, nothing was homemade. The "homemade bread"consisted of a loaf of possibly freshly made origins (but maybe not made today), but it was badly presented on a side table withplastic wrap over it. The butter was in a dish that everyone had been digging out of, and was also of questionable age. The"award winning" soup wasn't bad, but again the presentation sucked. The display cases and utensils all looked original from1969. While at the salad bar I had to move out of the way because a waitress was loading a bowl for a guest. She didn't sayexcuse me, just pushed past. I'm a big guy and like a good soup and salad bar...I made one trip. That says a lot. Then therewas the staff. They weren't particularly unfriendly...but they weren't very attentive. I know, we were getting the salad bar,and they seemed friendly to their regular customers...mostly old folks, who are probably the only people keeping the place inbusiness. I looked at the food coming out and wouldn't return for that either. For two of us we spent over $30. Read more

Okay, this place is a running throwback to 1969. I don't think much as changed. There is even a drive-in. Yes, a drive-in. This... place has a very family friendly atmosphere. The food tasted like what I expected. Nice flavors, crispy bacon, just goodhometown cooking. Not too fancy, but everything is clean. The food is presented nicely, and is decently priced. I imagine thatat times (not Covid) that this would be a very busy place to go eat out with your family and friends. Read more
