Great food (for an average price), and come in large portions. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and really go... above and beyond. I was actually going in for breakfast but decided to order the fish and chips (cod) and boy it was delicious. Batter was light... and crisp, fries were fresh cut fries! I will definitely come back again! Read more
*Edited* Aug 14/22 - 11/10, absolutely fantastic! Portion sizes are HUGE and the food is incredible, so fresh and so much... flavour. You cant beat a handmade patty and fresh homecut fries. My husband got the 8oz burger and I got the 6 oz, both comboswith fries and a pop all for 30$! The owner was superb and incredibly friendly! All around a great place with great prices. If Iwasn't visiting from a different province I'd be a regular for sure! *Edited to add* Came back again today before we left theprovince. The owner was so friendly yet again and even remembered us from the other day and where we were from. Hubby got theWestern Sandwich and it was almost as big as him, lol. I wrote a review on my Facebook but realized I should have done one on a more public site like google. Let me say that we were... camping recently in the Oshawa area and after a day of grocery shopping wanted something to eat. I used google maps for thearea that we were in and found South-End Diner. I have to tell you that it was the most amazing meal we have had in quiteawhile at a restaurant. The portions were huge, prices were amazing, and the owner was absolutely wonderful to chat with. Ourdaughter recently had to take her son to Whitby for a medical appointment and then had plans to stop at the Oshawa Flea Market. We told her to be sure and grab lunch at the South-End and they were as thrilled as we were. Another daughter is heading toOshawa in two weeks and we told her to do the same thing. This place is a body builder/ foodie paradise. Portions are outrageously big and we were treated like family! Had a western... omelette that had 6 eggs!!
