Another First time experience... We were on our way back to the Upper Peninsula... And wanted to try something new and that I... have been watching commercials for a few years... We ordered the spicy meatball sub... The Hero.... And a Roast Beef and Baconsub... To take home to Mi. They will be on our list of stops in the future... All 3 sub's were absolutely Yummy!...???? Pretty tasty food, good service, friendly staff and clean. Worth a visit for a sandwich, soup, or salad, prices are not bad and... you can mix and match so a nice variety. As good as a sandwich place can be. Read more
They take care of you here. I was having a rough day, ordered a meatball sub. Opened the box and that sub looked beautiful to... my starving eyes. I reached in a bit too excitedly, thumb hit the corner of the box and launched the entire meatball sub into mylap and on the ground. Of course I would do that. I told the cashier what I did when I reordered and he gave me a great bigsmile and comped my next sub. Wasn?t expecting that, but in that moment my day completely turned around. Delicious! My family always enjoys picking up Firehouse. We drive from Appleton to Oshkosh just to get it. I especially enjoy... stopping because the owner, a friendly older gentleman, is always so welcoming. He reminds me of my grandpa and I just lookforward to the brief chat. The Philly sub is my favorite and the staff are always willing to tweak the Turkey Bacon Ranch clubto be chicken for my husband. The chili is also a must! We enjoy our meal every time and like to round up our purchase for theirfoundation! Read more
Firehouse has a very good selection of great subs. Not your run of the mill subs you get at the other chains. They are also a... positive force in the community, raising money for local fire fighters. I feel good about spending my money there. The staff isfriendly and they keep a clean house. If you've never eaten there I recommend you give it a try. Read more
My first time visiting Firehouse and I was pleasantly surprised ????. I really really love the size options for the sandwiches.... Sometimes you don't need a big old sandwich and their small size sandwiches (about 3 to 4 unches) are perfect. Sometimes you areout and about town, and don't want leftovers in your car. This is a perfect spot for a lunch or dinner while you're out runningerrands. I had the small Firehouse Steak & Cheese, my son had the medium Beef & Cheddar Brisket. The steak & cheese is allmelty and juicy with the perfect amount of onion and pepper. The steak & cheese must have been good because my son finished hisbefore I finished mine. Also tried the mac-n-cheese, it was just okay, I guess it was just a little dry for me. The staff wasso patient as we perused the menu and were very focused on the job at hand.
